Great pics! I especially like the one with all your grandchildren around you. Boy, am I envious.
Hey, nice to see that a few old friends like yourself are still around here in the forum.
You deserve a big bear hug!
Thank you for your hello note! I have just 4 more weeks left to go and the viral load has been undetectable since the fourth week in. I had to get on AD's (Remeron) because I was SO depressed and disgusted with myself, never mind how sick you feel from the meds I was feeling suicidal, homicidal and crazy as a loon!!! I have NEVER EVER been so sad, angry and just not myself until I started the triple therapy tx-just in case you are wondering I've been on Peginterferon alfa 2b, Ribavirin & Victrelis. This last four out of 28 weeks can't go fast enough!!! I am feeling emotionally better now that I am on the Remeron, but I'm still feeling pretty crappy from the meds. Can't wait to get back to normal! Thank you so much for your friendship! I really appreciate it :)
you left a note on my page three years back when my dad was first diagnosed with cirrhosis from Hep C. Wanted to check and see how things are with you and thank you for responding to me then.
and (( Hugs )) back to you as well. Well my dad has just been diagnosed with Liver Cancer. I guess from the MRI and the bloodwork.. they havent yet done the Biopsy, he has to have a Pet Scan done on Thursday and then I guess they will schedule the MRI guided Biopsy the following week. he is 86, and I was beginning to think he had become a hypocondriac.. him being a recovering alcoholic, for past 30 + years.. but drank like crazy before then.. So lots of liver damage I am sure.. Plus when he was in the service.. younger years. he got Hep B and was in the hospital for weeks he said. but anyway.. how would that be gone ? I am sure he has had it all along and its catching up to him and causing cirro....sp ??? sorry been a long day.... but I guess I am trying to take this all in
You're greater!!! and yes, still kicking and screaming towards turning 60 in a few years, at the same time as standing back and just being amazed. Challenges, celebrations - same roller coaster - just fluctuating in speed; luckily more highs than lows lately!!!
Just dropping by to say hi. Hope you are doing fine and enjoying the grandkids!!! Hugs, Marcia
Just a quick note to say hi!Thank you for commenting on my bird,he is truly amazing,I love him.Hope you are doing well!
Well I am moving :( splitting up , and moving to gulfport on the beach.. renting a 2 bedroom apt that is on the back of my dads house. Not what I wanted, but not many choices with dobermans..
No, I'm geno 2, so it was 24 weeks SOC.
However there was a post not long ago from a woman whose husband was post tp, doing triple tx and was und.
What I've heard is it works better if you switch from prograf to cyclosporin for the triple.
( I'm on .5mg prograf, twice daily with no rejections)
Hey there mi amigo,
This is me waving at you from the coast, wishing you well.
It was stressful, but alot of people came, which made Mom feel much better. I worry bout her though.. she won't know what to do with herself. But at least she is active and has thing to keep her busy.. once she gets over this.. I know she hasn't been doing much since we left. alot of resting, which she needs, and from all the hugs she got at the funeral, she now has a cold. :( hope she gets over it soon..
He called me tonight and said to make sure I bring tissues, and I better try to control the tears at the wake and the funeral. LOL I hate death. I should just stay home,....... but I feel like I should be there.
He was 85, diagnosed with colon cancer the end of last year, had surgery right after xmas, and they said that should take care of it.. then they decided to do chemo.. which I thought was a bad idea, would just bring his death sooner. he had 2 treatments and was not doing well.. didnt want to get up, or eat .. and just wasted away.. He was ready to go, gave up a while back, and had no will to live.. don't know why they would even put an 85 year old that weighs 100 lbs thru anything like that.. surgery or Chemo. Its sad.. cuz I know Mom will be lost without him.
Hi ya.. Thanks, feeling pretty good for the most part, except hate all the weight I gained back. LOL No I havent been around either, but got a note and a friend request sent to my email. so came to see how everyone was doing. I am doing good. Flying to PA tomorrow though for a Funeral. Father inlaw passed away Sunday 330 Am. Put MIke on the plane at 5, and had to make arrangements for the dogs, and work some this wk, since its a new job.. havent been there but 30 days.. so unfortunetly the berievence is without pay.. but I will be ok.. Will get by.

Just a quick note to say hi, and ask... umm... what's that road-sign yellow corrugated-shrink-wrap-conveyor forklift contraption that looks like a robot with no arms carrying boxes? Or are you traveling so much that's what your luggage looks like? ;) Hope you're well!

Thank you for your Lucia greetings and sorry for the late reply. I wish you a Merry Xmas with your big beautiful family!!!! I'm sure you will have a wonderful time!!! Much love to you, Liz and the whole tribe :-)
Thanks Brent; I drank the 'radioactive iodine' to kill a 'toxic nodule', and am, at present 'normal' instead of hyperactive, which puts me feeling better than i have done since a few years pre the last tx!! I may fluctuate for a while (hehe what's new), but I'm back on the road again, and joining the board a little more. Love your photos and see you've been getting out and about. Merry Xmas to you Liz and the family xx
Ty brent how is things going with u.Real nice hearing from you.
Hi there! Thanks for the link to Barber's Adagio... very interesting to hear it as a vocal interpretation! Hope you and the family are well.
The pic is 4 years ago, but I still look about the same. How are you doing these days?
Just a quick note to say hi! I am well check in every once in awhile. I dont post much, but i read some of the threads! How are you????????? How is the gang doing? Virus free is great!!!
Talk to you soon my friend!
I don't know whether I'm amazing or just plain crazy. Someday, soon, I have to stay in one place, put down my roots and grow a garden, maybe even get a dog.
Glad to hear you are getting out and about. Canada is beautiful.
It's actually been a year and half since my tp. Once I got past the ERCPs everything has settled down.
Currently, I'm in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic where my son recently moved for work. His wife just gave birth to their second child a little over a week ago. Now they have two, a newborn son and a 2 1/2 year old daughter.
We'll be here until December.
I'm enjoying the tropical fruit, weather, and family, of course.
Though, honestly, I find the country poco loco, a little crazy, to say the least.
As our friend Mike says,
Thanks for the laugh of the day~ the new photo of Rushmore.
Hope your doing well.
Thank you for your intelligence & support.
