I recently joined this site. I wanted to leave a note for those suffering with chronic pain. I am a 48 yr old female with MS and have been suffering with chonic neck, back and hip pain. After 4 yrs of injections, nerve cauterization, meds, etc, I had the Precision Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted 3 months ago. I am now 75% better and being weened off all pain meds. There is hope for chronic pain.

Thank you for thinking of me I truly mean this. I have 2 chemo treatments left and 21 shots which they give me 7 in one it's hard on me to do it this way however, I'm fortunate my insurance will pay for them. They cost 7,000.00 for each shot. I have been very sick throughout this week...it's been the toughest. I do know this to shall pass.
I hope all is going well for you. You do such a wonderful Job on the forum.

Just a quick note to say hi! thanks sandee.. it is because of wonderful people like yourself, Tuck,Molly and all the others here at Mh that helps keep my spirits up and keeps me positive...i am facing some major arm surgery here in a couple of weeks. my dialysis arm has a pinch nerve and they have to take an old graph out..surgeon tells me it is a hard surgery and will be painfull..all i need more pain....lol..

Thanks sandee, you've been a great help. Just a quick update, I remembered that we have a Telehealth hotline where you can call and speak to a registered nurse 24/7. I'm going to try that and see what they say. I'm also actively looking for a new family physician.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome; I really appreciate it. I'm not sure if I'm in the appropriate forum because I'm still trying to find a label for my pain. Hopefully something will reveal itself soon.

Hello, no i havent have a xray or any other test been busy with other problems just had heart ablation on Friday and the pain just started.. i thought i was finish w/ doctors :/ i'm going to make appt cus wen i saw her she thought pulled muscle i kno its not that... thank you hope everything is better for you

Just a quick note to say hi! We jave ta;led several tumes abut my back pain after lower lumber discectomy. I still take somas of the evening after work (2) and 1 or 2 5mg valium before bed. I still wake up several times a night. I go bk 2 the Dr. Tues (PCP) and cant get into see my nuerosurgeon till Oct 22. What can I ask for to sleep . My bk wakes me up and I have to sit up awhile before I can lay bk down. Sounds to me like something is putting pressure on my spine, but then again I am not a Dr. Can you give me any insight as to what to tell the Dr. tues to get her to understand what I am going through. Sometimes I lay there and cry I hurt so bad but once I get up I am 80 % better. Help if you can.
