Hi Lisa thanks for your note. I hope you are keeping well. Your situation does sound similar to mine but don't give up hope just yet - there is always a chance they will see a fetal pole at your next scan. I had my first m/c about 11 years ago... My son was 1 then. To be honest I was so busy with him and I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was nearly 6 weeks.(we didn't have early testing kits then!!) I only actually had a couple of weeks of knowing I was pregnant when I miscarried. Although it wasn't nice I was young and bounced back quickly and went on to fall pregnant again shortly after with my daugher. I think the last m/c was harder as I had just reached the 2nd trimester and wanted another baby so much. Life can be tough sometimes but mircales do happen xx

You really know your stuff!!  I don't even know what a triphasic chart is.  I just do my thing with the OPK's (and watch my mucus now), then start taking HPTs.  I know its still a bit early. It's just with those super sensitive FRER, I thought maybe....anyway, I am not counting myself out yet as I know implantation can take up to 9 days.  I think I will wait till 10 DPO and give it another shot.  I can't wait to hear about your ultrasound!!! I am so very happy for you!!  I told Pamela last night that you and her are my heros!  You give me so much hope.  XOXO  Amanda

Thanks Lisa.  I did this morning and it was BFN (on a FRER, and we know how sensitive those are!)  But it is only 7 DPO, so I suppose it could just be too early.  I will try again tuesday...if I can hold off POAS that long...lol.  How are you doing?  About 7 weeks now right?  When is your ultrasound?  I can't wait to hear about that heartbeat!!!  Lots of hugs!!!

Thanks Lisa for your words. You know, when I found out that I was pregnant one of the things that worried me the most was my age (I´m 35 years old) since that was my very first pregnancy. I was worried that because of my age the baby could have health issues but it never ocurred to me that there could be no baby at all. Finding that out when the u/s was performed was awful. All the happiness and hopes that we were feeling just disappeared. My husband and I have decided to try it again as soon as it is safe, so I hope that we'll be more lucky next time. Your words give me hope. Thank you!! :)

Hi just left my personal experience of treatments on your thread... hope it helps! Re - the scan conversation we had... yes you can have an early scan in the UK if you pay private. It is around £100. The NHS only scan before 12 wks if mum has had 3 consec M/C or ectopic. I agree its unfair and don't understand why they don't scan earlier... thats the british health service for you!!

Wow thats wicked news about your blood results!! How exciting. I've heard from speaking to a few ladies that 'your side of the water' you get your scans early on and that must be so reasuring for you. Here in the UK we don't get to see a midwife until 8-9 weeks and the first U/S is usually at 12 weeks. Please let me know how it goes - you have been in my thoughts. I am good - just passed the big O day and keeping my fingers crossed that our BD efforts pay off!!

Yes, I'm definitely showing now.  I am in maternity clothes.  I LOVE elastic waistbands : )   Glad your cramping is subsiding...I think that's the scariest symptom.  Take care of yourself!

I have no clue what my progesterone level ever was or is.  I never had my hormone levels checked...it was the immaculate conception all on its own.  I found out I was pregnant at 6wks, I had my first OB appt at 7wks.  I actually had an u/s done before my hcg levels were ever checked.  A sac/embryo, and a heartbeat was detected, so my doctor said HCG levels were irrevelant once a heartbeat is detected, as it's considered a viable pregnancy.  Although, a few days later my HCG #s came back and were right on target. Do you work outside the home?  If so, that's a good thing, as it will hopefully keep your mind occupied.  I don't work, so it consumed my whole day, still does.  All the "what if's" that go through my mind make me crazy!  Take care!  Pam

Yes, I had the same feelings you described when I found out I was pregnant this time!  I still do, and I'm 20wks.  I go from feelings of euphoria to complete despair...I worry most that I'll be an older parent when my kids are in college. I can only hope and pray hubby and I live a long healthy life.  I did have some cramping early in the pregnancy, I spotted a couple times too, my biggest symptoms were nausea and fatigue.  Oh, and my boobs got huge...massive!  When I was pregnant with Connor, I felt great from beginning to end...I didn't even feel pregnant.  I wonder if it's because I'm carrying a girl, I've heard your hormones are working double time "sharing" when it's a girl.  I wish you were 7wks, so you had your OB appt already, I'm dying to hear!  Don't be scared, one day at a time!

Oh sweetie, I know, its scary.  You know the cramping probably doesn't mean anything, so try not to worry.  All you can do right now is take it one day at a time, and know we are here for you!!  For reassurance, get your blood done every couple of days, just to make sure those levels are rising. That will help soothe you until you can have that first ultrasound.  I know, easy for me to say don't worry, but please try not to.  I am rooting for you and that little bean my friend!!!J

WOW!!! I am so excited for you lady. That is fantastic!!! We all need to remember that it isn't impossible... may take some time, but NOT impossible. That fact that I KNOW women who are not only 40+, but my bff was 46 when she got pregnant & 47 when she delivered a BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY babygirl NATURALLY. I just visited with her & her babygirl will be 2 May 30th & she is smart as a wip. ;o) Be encouraged GF...stay positive...reject ALL negativity. I'm soooo Happy for you Lisa. <3

That is such great and inspiring news.  I haven't been on this forum much but check every now and then.  So happy I checked today to see your news.   I really hope for you 9 relaxing and care-free months.  I remember you suggested to me the book Inconceivable. Thank you for that.  I read it and was inspired by her as well.  Did you follow her advice? Did you drink wheatgrass juice?  Congrats again.  So happy for you.

I am thinking you will be off to the dr. sooner than later, and I can't wait to hear all that is said.  Block out the negatives, because you don't have time for that, just listen to the positives you hear and post a pic of your test and your ultrasounds..... yippee!

Lisa...

It was so Beautiful!! It was freezing, but I was bundled up really well. My feet...even with the warmers got a little bit frosty. ;o) No matter, it was worth it...the Unity was magnificent!! I was there for 8 hrs. straight & it was WELL worth it. I experienced a wonderful part of history & I'll always have it. Maybe being in that sea crowd of LuV will help me get 2 lines in 09'. ;o) I'm on CD23 & this is the worst pms I've experienced in a long time.  ;o(  I can always tell when the un-invited "guest" will arrive. Here's to a better next month. You NEVER know. ;o)

Cheers...For A New Year!!! <3
