Hello I read your post from 2012 I'm having the same problem with my baby Max he has several cluster seizures and now he doesn't recognize me which breaks my heart and I can't help myself but to start crying. How long did it take for your pup to get to his normal self. Max got out of the hospital yesterday so he's only been home for one day. but he doesn't know who i am or he doesn't remember how much he loves going on walks. Please tell me how long did your dog take to be back. Much appreciated

Hi. Read your posts and would appreciate your input regarding our 11 year old Westie. She's been on tramadol for at least 2 years for arthritis in her elbows and spine. It has managed her pain extremely well; however, recently has begun to urinate frequently and with difficulty...straining to go ...squatting for several minutes, then walking about and squatting again. Her urine is dark in color and tests indicate blood is present. My vet has had her on antibiotics for a month but her condition has not gotten any better. I believe her symptom are a direct result of the tramadol and want to take her off of it immediately but am afraid of withdrawal and increased pain. Do you know of any natural remedy that will help with pain management? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. What's happened to MedHelp? The old tab system has gone and has been replaced with a new one on my link - so now there's no Forum button and no link to the CKF User Group. Is this happening to just me, or you too.

Thank you for everything! Read your post on dog food brands. Now you have me scared, my vet recommended all Pedigree, 1/2 soft, 1/2 hard, which he enjoys a lot. You post doesn't mention what you do recommend, please?? That seems like every brand in the store, unless you pay a fortune at Petco. My vet said don't be fooled by the foo-foo brands. What say ye my friend?

Thank you for everything! I work with somedays 30 plus dogs at once and I have adults that can not wait to run over and eat it before it has even hit the ground. YUCK! I mean the other dog is doing her business and this overweight lab is eating it right away...Thanks again...I will add a note to his chart for the owner.

I'll go find it and take a look. Thanks for the heads up! I'm sorry it took so long for me to respond to this note, but I haven't been getting my notifications that I even HAVE messages lately so I don't see my messages or notes unless I actually remember to physically go and look for them. I'll have to let the mods know so they can fix this because it's VERY inconvenient for people to be trying to get me and I have no idea that they're looking for me. Sorry again for the lapse in time.

Hi Karla. Thanks for bringing this post to my attention. Another heart-breaking kidney failure post. I have replied of course, and I hope I have encouraged them gently to get their dog the help she so desperately needs. All the best, Tony

Just a quick note to say hi! Hello I got my dog Rusty four months ago and I believe he has a food allergy. He has been eating Beneful which I'm just finding out is horrible. Can you reccomend a good natural food that won't break the bank? I live on a fixed income. Thank you and your dog is adorable!

Just a quick note to say hi! Oh my goodness! I just read your "mood"....what the heck has that poor dog been through? I am 100% certain that foster dog of yours will not want to leave your place if or when the time comes! He (she?) will know a good thing!
