Thanks for the welcome, appreciate it! Unfortunately, I dislike needles intensely and am not big on drugs. Don't like possible side effects and/or long term effects. Also, how does one know if the meds actually help them or if they just happen to be in remission? Not sure what to do or even how to decide on what to do! Survived my 8 MRIs yesterday (4 with contrast after they poked that needle in - aauuuggghhhhhhh!!!!!) Maybe when I see those images and reports I'll have more info., plus a comparison to the ones from last year.
Thanks for starting the roll call thread, nice for peeps to contribute when they may just normally be reading what goes on.
On the CR thing, my name is Nikki hence the Nx, Rachel was my confirmation name hence the tag! Easy whatever way but usually just put Nx as less contentious.
Probably confused the maj of those on the forum with it.
Anyway have said to a couple of friends on here when they've mentioned it.
Hope you're well and trial going well for you (you are on one aren't you, memory not playing tricks on me again!).
Just a quick note to say hi!
I used plastic drink cups for the eyes and nose, that mouth was yellow rope
I love reading your responses - your ability to teach while calm is a talent not everyone has. springtime must be near, right?
'Post hoc ergo propter hoc' will leave the huge majority of folks in the dust! But being 350 years old, I had both Latin and logic in h.s., so that's yet another way I'm out of the mainstream. Only the very young are convinced that all the answers are black and white--shades of gray, but not 50 :-) are the reality. Hope all is well with you.
I just came across your knitting samples. I am such a novice and really appreciate your cables. lovely!!!
Guess I hadn't looked at your profile before, but in view of the knitting discussion I just now did. Your work is fine! Keep it up. And I love how you've presented the shots. You have real flair for layout, and if you haven't studied photography seriously, you really should. Also I love the falcon! You and I have exchanged many friendly comments, but haven't actually become friends, don't know why. Of course I could be your mom, age-wise, but if that's okay with you, it's fine with me.
Hiya. Just happened to see your note to Matt, where you say MH doesn't alert you about notes. But they do, or can, just as with PMs. It's all in your settings, and quite customizeable, if that's a word. :-)
".....part of understanding MS is understanding that those of us who have it have a constantly developing and refining arsenal to deal with the wide spectrum of things that can get thrown at us on any given day..." Probably one of the most apt descriptions I've ever heard. Gonna bookmark that one for future reference!
Just a quick note to say hi!
I always like reading your responses - the calm in your voice helps a lot of people. I hope you are well, Laura
Have a great day - I'm off to breakfast with Hubby before he has to go to Chicago for several days.
Thanks for the welcome home - I have to take a deep breath, exhale, regroup and then be ready for some wild days ahead. Oh well, the peace and quiet would bore me to tears, perhaps! I'll not know because I can't get to that state. :-)
Just a quick note to say hi! YOu mentioned rafting in the Ocoee, Nantahala, and Hiawassee rivers. Sounds like my neck of the woods. Where did you grow up?
I currently live south of Atlanta and many of my friends go rafting in the same areas.
I don't remember if I told you, but if so, it is worth repeating - the foxes are back! I have FIVE kits/teenagers in my back yard and every morning I get to watch them wrestle and tumble. My squirrel and chipmunk population is scarce right now.
I never did tell you I like the name...
Thanks for thinking of me. It does seem like my health is out of control right now.
I hope you're doing good.
Well alright then. Thank you! Here I come down the red carpet with bells on!
Just a quick note to say hi! Glad to see someone else who refuses to be an MSer. I lean toward PwMS these days. The disease may have ramped up it's damage potential over the last few years but I'll always be a person first.
Good luck with your placement exams. It's important to move on and not just wallow in theMS funk.
