Yes, I the protease inhibitor is the enzyme that breaks down proteins, and it's blocked. I cut out milk and dairy, and supplemented with Digest Gold (health food store enzymes), and also drank the black cherry juice for a bout a month, every day. That helped tremendously. Then I noticed I could handle meat again, so slowly introduced it without causing joint pain. Hang in there!
Hang in there! I had a great deal of joint pain after tx and for about 3-4 months. I'm now 13 mo post tx and have NO residual side effects. Everything slowly disappeared. So hang in there. Seriously give it a year for the emotions to calm down, brain fog to lift, etc.
