I know this may sound crazy but you might want to try and find a good chiropractor-- they treat more than just the spine. I saw many specialists for pain in my foot and ankle and had over two years of physical therapy. I think that they were convinced that I had CRPS. But I would not believe this. Finally a friend recommended a chiropractor who has been treating my foot (he told me I have a chronic sprain). Now I am off all my pain meds and walking without being tempted to use my crutches (which I used off and on for over two years). You might want to get an opinion from a chiropractor (my friend's treats her tendinitis in her wrist and thumb) and you might be able to save yourself from surgery.Good luck

Hi - I saw your post about the vit d- my mom also was told by a kaiser dr to take supplements but told her to take way more than the 800 - she did it and it made her sick sick sick - so maybe 800 is good for now. Just wanted to let you know :)

Hi- I am new to this forum. I had my decompression surgery on March 08'. The surgery went very well. The most frustrating part was my energy level. I felt like I was 85 years old for a couple of weeks. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Just a quick note to say hi!.....u r welcome.....I always stop in there and noticed that it is very busy post wise...and the drs do answer some ?s, but there r sooooooo many they don't get to.

I had the chiari surgery in 1999 and your symptoms sound like mine was, I had such pain from the back of my head going around by my ears and if I sneezed or coughed it would feel like all the blood in my body was blocked into my head, I was my dr. first chiari patient and he kept telling me there was nothing wrong, find a neurosurgeon that has had experience with chiari....take care
