I relate to how 'missing the meds' can happen, and I think it's because we don't want to be back in the 'helpless' stage of pre-tx when we felt powerless to rid ourselves of the VL.   BUT, in realty you shouldn't ever have to be in that space again.  Hope you're starting to feel a bit better...

YAY being UND since week 2 and a geno2 your chances of beating this are EXCELLENT in fact I'd say it's long long long gone by now and you have nothing to worry about!  I remember when I first learned that it wasn't just the shot killing the virus off like I thought I couldn't believe how smart this medicine that I hated was! It made it so much easier for me to take it knowing what a big job it was doing!

I am sure you are absolutely cured and have nothing to worry about...you got one of those super duper German Shepards on your side - he's long since ferretted those critters out and kicked them to the curb I am sure!!!!!!!!!!!

RVR (und by week 4) is positively correlated with SVR. Sounds like you hv at least a 90% chance of SVR

Just a quick note to say hi! I think you're due to end your treatment on Sept 19th.  My end date is Sept 12th!  From reading the notes...it seems your undetectable, like me.  That's awesome..now if it would just end.  I can't wait to feel normal with no side effects.  I forget what it feels like. Let me know how your are.

Hi there.  Thanks for the note about my blog.  Glad it spoke to you.  Hope you are doing well.  I'm delighted (and jealous) at your undetectable virus.  That is FABULOUS.

I started to feel better after about 3 weeks the first time.  My doc let me stop taking it when my hgb got above 10 but as soon as I stopped the procrit my hgb dropped back to about 9.0.  I resumed procrit but it took longer to make me feel better the second time, about 5-6 weeks before that number budged.

I think I was with the wrong Dr to begin with, I had to change Dr two weeks ago. New Dr would have done it different. But will not change since I have so little time left. Mine has left me suffering here at the end. But everyone is different. If I could have changed it I would have done it in the Winter. The heat has been getting to me lately. But I can't wait to let you know what it  is like post tx, I know I am looking forward to it,,,, I really hope it is like turning off a lightswitch,,,,,,,, but I know it will take a while for my body to clean out and clear up.. Have a great Sun.

This treatment is so harsh.  Anemia has been the hardest part for me.  Don't just suffer with it, its dangerous.  Ask your doc for his/her views on rescue drugs.  You can put a plan in place that way and get the procrit preapproved with ins.co - that way if your hgb drops below the agreed-upon level you'll already have the approval for the procrit.

What is you hgb now?

Don't remember the RBC but my hemoglobin was 9.2.  It took a few weeks for the procrit to work and my hgb got down to 7.8 (was hospitalized for transfusion) before it climbed back above 10.  I'm taking procrit for the duration and my hgb remains about 10.4
