How much can I rely on my boyfriend's 2 igg tests being officially negative? He had them done on 10/18 and 11/21. Said he hasn't been sexually active since early July. I too want to be tested since he and I engaged in some sexual activity (some vaginal intercourse). My 16 week mark is coming up. Can I rly on it being conclusive? He's never shown symptoms and neither have I.
Hi, I just want to ask about the small lip blisters i keep getting.. They are itchy aand usuall starts at the sides of my mouth. It is usually not noticeable but everytime i wash it with water it usually removes the crusty or dried form of the watery discharge it has.. they last for almost a week or more... Plus it keeps recurring these past 3 months.. And during the peak of this allergy my lips get swollen and dry... Os it herpes? Please help me, i am very worried.. I am 21 yrs old and i never had any form of sexual activity so if i have herpes it is not because of that... Pleasr help me i am desperate .. Thanks
I live in New York and my doc has ordered a Western blot for me but I am having a hard time finding a lab to do it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Good afternoon. I'll try to make this brief. In Nov'15 I had a bout w/frequent urination and was prescribed Levaquin & phenazopyridine. The very next day I broke out in hives/rashes/welts all over my body (neck, waistline, back, arms, wrists, legs, ankles). I went back to the dr a few days later and was prescribed Bactrim & Flomax. The frequent urination went away but the rashes have persisted and are recurring. I was diagnosed with genital hsv over 15 years ago but have never had an outbreak all over my body like this. Can hsv form rashes all over your body and reoccur for going on 4 months now. What else could it be, if anything? Thanks!
I have been reading some of the posts about people getting false positive results for hsv2, I have had similar testing with hsv1, being >5 and Hsv2, at a value of 1.18, are these issues common and IS the Western Blot test the answer?
Hi Terri, I am so scared and I don't know what to do. I got my test results back and my hsv 1 came back a 1.41 and my hsv 2 came back a 5.0. My doctor said I have recently came in contact with it but I'm not active. What does this mean? Could this be wrong by any chance? Please help me. I have no signs or have any outbreaks
Hi Nurse Terri, I was just diagnose with herpes and my partner as well. We both had a blood test done. His level was 3.65 for HSV 1 and 3.05 for HSV 2. My level were both 5.0 and I have symptoms and his asymptomatic. I have small bumps on my lip that itches and also on my vagina with white/yellow discharge. We only had protect sex twice but we also enaged in oral sex as well without a condom. Why are my levels high and why am i the one experiencing all the symptoms? Can this mean he gave me herpes? Or did I give it to him? My symptoms occurred four weeks after we had protected sex. Please help I'm confused and concerned that I may not be able to have sex anymore.
hi Terri I was just diagnosed with herpes by my doctor today. I have had no symptoms and it was a complete shock. I have been with my boyfriend for 8 months and we have had unprotected sex. I am completely freaking out. Is it possible to have herpes without ever having any symptoms?? I have had bacteria vaginitis but never any type of std. Any helpful advice as well as resources would be appreciated! I have been reading so many different things on the Internet and getting more freaked out!!
I have had what seem to be canker sores and are healing with the help of amoxicillin and a mouth wash. Is there any chance this is HSV? Also a recent partner was diagnosed with HSV 1.I know this isn't the way to part questions, at least I don't think it is, but I couldn't figure it out and I'm freaking out. Also there has been alot of stress in my life recently, and I've read that could be a possible cause. Thank you so much for your time and help.
So my boyfriend and I have been together for 8 months and we have sex a lot. But lately I've been seeing and feeling changes with my vagina. Couple weeks ago I noticed flesh like little bumps on the walls of my vagina, they aren't a bother unless I touch them then they start itching. I also notice like a disfigurement of the right side of my labia minora, the top part of it is swollen and has two little yellow bumps. They only hurt when I touch them, wipe after I urinate and when I'm wearing tight jeans. I'm really afraid if this is an std
tingling under vagina skin but no outbreak!!!does this sound like herpes?
Hi Terri, when will you be back to answer questions?
Please help me, m worried about it.
Hi terri, m 21 right now, three week back my boy friend noticed a lesion on head of his penis. It is not painful and donot have any blister, it was just a red spot. Then he took medicine cifloxicin and that s pot was gone but after a week he again noticed it. Then he tested for hiv and hsv both are negative but the doctor is still saying that he has herpes. What should i do? And before his lesion, i had soreness over labia minora and pain and itching and i have been treated as fungal infection.

Just a quick note to say hi!
I was diagnosed with genital herpes 25 years ago. For several weeks I have been getting 3 spots, they will heal and then return in 3 days.Took acyclovir, and see no spots but just as before I have the same pain in the same place. Is it still active? Why would I have lingering pain?
Thanks so much! You are wonderful to care so much
I'm freaking out over here lol
I see your highly busy. If you find yourself with a moment could you see my post. Hopefully I didn't right.

I have known I have HSV2 for 2 and half years. I have been had a ob on my upper arm in the same place 3 times the last time I got it swab tested and it was positive for HSV2. The only thing i can think of is the parter I was with was having a ob and touched me spreading it to my arm. Do you have any insight to this? Would that area shed without blisters? Thank you.
Hi Terry, please please could you take a quick look at my post? I actually paid for and expert answer but I couldn't submit the post in the expert forum... My post it's called 'is it herpes?', in herpes comunity. Please I'm really having a hard time here...
FfcccHi Terry, I tryed to post an expert question a couple of days. The payment went through, but when i tryed to post the question it didn't work. So I paid and I didn't get your answer... And I say YOUR answer because you seem to be the best expert. Could you have a quick look please? It's posted now in herpes comunity, as in 'is it herpes?'
