Hi!  Yesterday you asked if I had checked my thyroid.  Someone else asked me the same thing, so when I go to the doctor soon, I am going to have this checked.  I am so tired sometimes when I have to go to work (or I'm at work, and I drive a school bus!!!) that I just want to cry!  So, thank you for the suggestion.  Hearing it so much lately has me wondering.  BUT, it was checked twice in 2 years and it was "normal".  It has probably been a year since it was checked and I know from others that it can be in the normal range, but there are more "specific" levels that need to be checked...  We'll see where I get.

Hi, I am glad to hear that I will feel better in time.  I seem to have more energy, and I have lost four pounds. Is that normal? No, I do not take vitamins regularly. What do you take? I have thought about taking the Juice Plus supplements. Any suggestions?

Hi, how are you doing? I hope that you are doing well. I don't know if you celebrate the holidays,  but if you do, have a great one. I have been on armour now almost a month and I am not sure how I am feeling yet. What I do know is that I itch terribly all of the time. Have you heard of this.

So far I am doing ok... I find it hard to take the armour around the same time each day, as I am taking it 3x perday. It has been two weeks, and I was told it would take about a month before I felt a difference.

How are you doing?

continued.....I may actually do the study once the babies are out of the infant stage. I have people that would help while in the hospital. First though, I would definitley try everything else. That is more of a last resort for me. Yes, I do have a surrogate. We have been trying to have kids for about 5 years and b/c of my medical issues I just decided to try a surrogate. My doctor told me if I were to actually give birth, my EBV could actually have a major relapse. So I opted for this instead. Well, keep me posted. I will let you know how the high doses of vitamin C are working out. I should be starting in the next few weeks!! I'm excited to try it.

Wow, thanks for the tips! I will definitely look those links up. I have a friend who works in a pharmacy that is geared toward natural remedies. She is going to set me up me mega doses of vitamin C. I'm really hoping that it helps me. I'm just worried about the antibiotics because I can't affort to have my wbc lower than it is, and antibiotics definitely lower your wbc. So that is my issue. Do you have a low white blood cell count as well? I was thinking about getting included in the study at Stanford University with the doctor that is giving his chronic EBV patients high doses of valtrex. He is doing it with the patients in the hospital so he could watch them closely. I was going to get in, but it wasn't going to be until my babies are born, so I couldn't do it.

Hi! I take synthroid, 75mcg. It seems to be working fine for my Hashimoto's. As far as my EBV goes, i would LOVE to fix it! It is really hindering my life. My general practitioner says that there is no treatment also. She did mention taking valtrex or valcyte for several months, but the problem for me is that I have a chronic low white blood cell count also. I think that may be caused from the chronic EBV. Antibiotics lower your wbc. I don't know....I need to find an infectious disease specialist who could possibly help me out. I will be having twins through a surrogate in about 4 months. I don't want to feel this way when they are here, but I really have no choice. My symptoms do come and go. What about you? R they constant or do they come and go? Mine will be gone for months then return.

Wow, we have a lot in common. I also have chronic EBV and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I wonder if there is a connection too? I just read your question to the doctor on the cfs forum. I wrote him a question as well.
