Hi, I hope you are doing well.
hi renee, thank you for posting about starting sofo (sp). i just got the call on thursday that i'm also being considered for a trail for that med. i'm hoping to follow your post and your follow mine and that we can be a source of support for each other.
I was concerned I didn't get in the Arm that got the Ribavirin. After reading your iron problem and remembering my anemia from Riba back during tx 2007, I understand why this trial includes it. Riba is a harsh drug, if we don't need it fabulous, if we do then it's worth the side effect to reach SVR. All you and I want is SVR while glad we can help others for future treatment success.
I was trying to read data from your profile. What ARM did you get on the GSI-7985 trial. With Ribavirin right? I'm in the same study and am trying to track others progress. My Clinic always refer to GSI-7985 which is the combo. This forum doesn't seem to do that yet. My pill is light orange with GSI on one side and 7985 on the other. UKgirl55 pill is blue with same markings. Post some journals so your progress can be quickly followed. Everything happening to us is so important and hope for others. Good luck and stay well.
I just wanted you to know that I had to stop treatment. I had severe stomach pain and had to stop. I am very disappointed. Also, I stopped on wed. and I am still so sick that I can't stand for more than about 3 minutes.
Hope you are having a good day.
Just a quick note to say hi!
I understand your aggravations with the current treatments. I'm in a similar situation myself.
Hopefully we'll find a solution soon.
Good morning! How's your first day?
Just a quick note to say hi! HI just learning about how things go here on MH still don't totaly under stand . I'll learn in a short time any way howdy
Hi Renee. I saw your post on the vertex thread and just wanted to tell you there is a ton of information in the archives about the vertex studies as well as many others. The best thing to do is research and learn as much as possible and then make your decision. Personally I think that upcoming trial you mentioned is a good one as there is no placebo arm. But I am a bit biased as I actively persued getting into the current trial. There have been many good results with telaprivar trials, and some not. Find out about rescue drugs-the current trial doesnt allow them at all. It is a highly personal decision and knowledge is truly power-so search the archives and you will get some really good info. I wish you the best:-) Isobella
