Just a quick note to say hi! was wondering how you are doing. I went home for a week and got my Gulf boat back into a wet slip then went out and caught some beautiful Snapper-netted an ice chest full of shrimp just with a try net in about half an hour of dragging. The water is the cleanest I've seen in a long time because of the drought and it's so salty I didn't see any algae blooms even near the mouth of the Rio Grande. All too soon had to come back to Houston for more tests. A friend of mine who lives on 9 mi rd in Galveston said the water is still muddy in the bays and along the Gulf shore but fine about a mile out. His business is slack because of the economy. He also takes out Dolphine watchers on weekends but said they are or have been scarce since the Hurricane. Diving any?

Just a quick note to say hi! Yes, I left you a note. I take 4 pairs to the Texas Flower Garden Reef apprx. 47 nautical miles from Galveston. Have you ever been there? When I go out on long excursions I take my Boston Whaler. It's been in dry dock for a year now, being well cared for. I take small parties to Boca Chica, on 4 to 6 hr (fishing time) trips . also around the mouth of the Rio Grande-Matagorda and Mustang Islands. Seldom go farther north than Matagorda Is. but sometimes will bay fish Copano, St. Charles and Aransas Bay area-depends. thanks for the link. Frank

Just a quick note to say hi! I'm checking out your profile-where were you in the picture? I can't quite make out the strata but I'm going to take a wild guess and say Blue holes-Florida?

Just a quick note to say hi! Yes I take up to 4 pairs to the Texas Flower Garden Reef quite often. I've been dry docked for some time but rarin to get wet. When I go to the garden I take the Boston Whaler-short trips 1 day deep sea and 6 hrs in and around Boca Chica and the mouth of the Rio Grande. I'll post when I'm back in a wet slip and have my license re-instated. Have you been to the flower Garden? About 47 nautical miles from Galveston give or take...Beautiful! I avoid Galveston/Surfside-Mustang island and Matagorda is about as far north as I go along the shore line. Port Isabel, S. Padre is the best. Maybe you can join me on my shake down cruise as my guest-we'll see. Goin home this week to wife and heaven in Texas-S. Padre! Frank
