Just a quick note to say hi!
Just a quick note to say hi!
Big bear hug to you!!!!! Lookin healthy!!
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Praying for baby Aidyn, I hope he recovers quickly and gets to come home soon!
Oh awesome, I'm glad you passed! I won't be eating anything sugary that day, so hopefully I'll pass too! Thank you!
Just a quick note to say hi! aw that's brilliant :) Surprises are always the nicest!
Congratulations! I see you're expecting again! How exciting :) wishing you the best!
I will keep Lexi in my prayers, NIcole. I really hope that they find out what is going on...and can treat it easily. What a scary thing to have to go through...Please let me know how everything goes!
oh my....what's going on with Lexi? why the MRI? Daniel had eye surgery and several sedated eye exams - so I know how hard it is to see your little one go tbrough this!
Hi-saw your "having a really bad day" in the margin where random stuff is posted and just wanted to reach out-hope things get better and I'm thinking good thoughts for you! (I was in the "asthma" forum). Please accept a cyber hug from a well-meaning stranger!
I can totally see that!!! I worked at a department store called Zellers (it's Canadian, similar to Wal Mart - and has, incidentally, been bought by Target and will become Target year starting in 2013) for years....and I rarely go there now!
The cute, flirty thing has it's dark side: Gil KNOWS he's cute.....and uses it to his advantage! To try and wriggle his way out of trouble, get things he wants, lol. Actually, he's recently started hitting (soooo not good!) and we've been reprimanding him for that - and told the daycare to reinforce that (because apparently he's tried to push a couple of his little friends around on occasion). We want him to know that that behaviour is in no way acceptable....cute or not!!
Toys R Us?! That's cute :) And now look at you - probably spending a lot of time at places like that because of little Lexi ;)
I know!!! I think we're in a biiiig trouble with Gil - he's ALREADY flirting with the ladies, everywhere we go! We can be in the grocery store and he'll be making googly eyes at female shoppers or the cashiers....he has the big brown eyes with long lashes and does this thing where he tilts his head to one side and grins.....pretty darn irresistible!! LOL I saw this onesie one day that said "Lock up your daughters" and I almost bought it....hahaha! Of course every mom thinks her kid is cute - no, the absolute cutEST - but Gil really does have some serious charisma!
Sorry, I just realized I went a lil crazy with the word "laundry room" there....LOL
Oh wow, that's totally inconvenient laundry situation, that's for sure!! Glad you can relate to my laundry room excitement, lol. Actually, DH and I met in the laundry room of the apartment building where we used to live, so I guess that's why I have a soft spot for laundry rooms ;)
lol...your hilarious! I see why you and Ivy are such good friends.
Your journal comment has me in fits of laughter...hahaha...brilliant!
....and it was amazing to see just how much more independent he's become since last year. Writing his name all on his own, trying to sound out words - it's really cool :)
Ah yes, back labour....GOOD TIMES ;D
I was so happy to leave apartment living behind as well. Sadly - but maybe you can relate - the most exciting thing for me about us moving into a house of our own was that we finally got a laundry room of our very own! No more sharing - WOO HOO!!! I have especially appreciated this since having kids - you know how much laundry there is to do! It'll be nice for Lexi to have her own room - has she been sleeping with you and DH?
Daniel is in senior kindergarten this year. Here, kindergarten is a 2 year program, split into junior kindergarten (kids start the year they turn 4) and SK (for kids in the year they turn 5). Daniel loves it....I was volunteering in his class just the other day...
Wow - I can't believe that Lexi' s already that old either!!! :o Love your profile pic!!
Despite how hectic life is, I do really like being back at work. Before having kids, I'd always assumed that I'd want to be a SAHM if finances would allow....except when I was on mat leave with Daniel, I was surprised to discover that I really missed working and needed an outlet outside of the home. It just takes some extra planning (ie. we prep a lot of our meals ahead of time so we can still eat healthily despite not having a lot of time to make dinner in the evenings after DH and I both get home from work)....
Will you be moving to a different apartment or into a house?
Thanks so much for your note :) I haven't been on in months...there just aren't enough hours in the day, it seems, between working full-time and then trying to keep on top of everything at home. How are you? How is your little one? Daniel is 5 now and Gil is nearly 22 months - both very busy, but a real joy :D
oh no really? Jordan brought me back a cadbury's ripple and some other sweets for his little brother and big brother. We don't get any trick or treaters round our way so I didn't buy any.(Jordan went to a little village near us where his friend lives they are really into it) But I was eyeing up the choc apples and toffee apples they will be on offer after 3 nov if there is any left. Might get some for bonfire night lol
hi lol glad it worked out ok only one of mine went trick or treating with his friend . You would think they would do it for the sweets!!!
Glad shes better!!! Two of mine are out trick or treating tonight hope they don't eat alll the sweets at once or I will have to take them to the dentist lol
Hope you feel better soon! thats for lexi!!! :)
LOL!! that's ok because originally the song I was humming was the Indiana Jones theme...and I thought "but it doesn't make sense if I'm wearing a cape and humming Indiana Jones..." so I decided to type "Superman" instead...but the theme kept slipping out of my mind as well, haha!
I'm so sorry your husband and family are going through with this. I hope that you all will find comfort in this difficult time.
Welcome to our community! hi nicole welcome to our new forum if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Our Lexi is wearing her onesie now (for the 1st time). I don't know what it is about the lettering, but looking at it gives me a headache lol It's like some psychadelic print that blurs when you look at it too long - maybe that's why your hubby hated it haha
