A few days can make a difference!  I think that's why Gil was 6lbs. 11ozs. at 41 weeks while Daniel was 7lbs. 6ozs. at 41 weeks - Gil was really probably right at 40 weeks.

Be prepared to get more clothes!!  I think that people love to buy little girl stuff - it's hard to resist!! :)

If your midwife isn't worried, then I wouldn't be either :)  I looked so small with Gil, people kept looking at me like I was crazy when I'd tell them how far along I was, like there's no way I could possibly be so far along when I was so tiny....Finally, I asked my OB because I was starting to think that maybe something was wrong.  He told me that I was measuring just fine and to not listen to anyone when they'd say I was "small" or whatever.  I never paid much attention to my measurements, but I was always pretty much right on with where my u/s said.  However, I'm convinced that my u/s date was off by 5 days to a week, as in my u/s said I was 5-7 days ahead of what my actual due date was.  Based on my LMP, I had it calculated at Jan. 25 and my u/s was saying Jan. 19.

Sorry...I'm confused....how can you wash things and not remove the tags?  Unless you're worried that they made a mistake on gender (which can happen - it happened to a friend of mine...she was told she was having a girl and ended up having a boy - oops, maybe I've brought up something else for you to worry about, sorry!), then I don't see why you wouldn't want to.  I kept absolutely everything that we were given as gifts, didn't exchange/take back a thing.  Even the things that I didn't really like (I HATED those sleepers where the bottom is open and we got one of those).  I would have felt bad taking anything back....

I hope you don't actually get the flu this time!  You've been through enough pregnancy related sickness!!

The flu shot's a good idea to protect you and Lexi :)  Last year, I got the H1N1 since, being pregnant, I was considered high risk.  I felt sick after that and I arm was so sore! Normally, I don't get any symptoms from the seasonal flu shot, but the H1N1 knocked me down for a couple of days!

I think I might have been able to do it without the epidural with Gil....I was working through my contractions with the nurse's help and Lou's.  I used the birthing ball....it really helped, along with someone rubbing my back when I was having a contraction.  But the anesthesiologist that's dedicated to the childbirth area was leaving at 3:30pm (so I'd only have access to the anes.for the whole hospital) and it scared me to think that I might not get an epidural later if I needed it..so I got one...

Oh man, I hope she turns for you.....back labour isn't any fun :(  Had that with Daniel (I probably complained to you about it, lol!)  Thank God for epidurals, that's all I have to say ;)

I would have gone insane if I'd been put on bedrest either time....but especially the second time because I already had a kid to chase after.  I know a girl who had an incompetent cervix the first time and was on bedrest from 20 weeks on.  She was actually really lucky that the baby stayed put - she was born after her due date, in fact!!  She was told that she'll be stitched up and put on bedrest from 11 weeks onward the next time she's pregnant.  Can you imagine??

That's great progress!  Baby steps - no pun intended ;)

I see what you're saying about being worried about something happening....but try to think positvely.  I know that nothing is for sure and things do happen, but the chances of anything happening are honestly so small.  I know a girl at work who had a little boy on New Year's Eve last year...and she was 28 or 29 weeks - she was due after I was, with Gil!  And he was already 4lbs. and ended up being just fine.  Little Lexi will, too :)

Just think.....if you were to go into premature labour (or need to be put on bedrest to prevent it) would you be more stressed out by not being able to set up your little girl's room?  Either having to have someone else do it for you (DH, etc.) or having that waiting for you when you bring her home?

I just saw your post on this topic, too.....I personally would start to get everything ready - especially given the family history of preterm labour.  I mean, I had my hospital bag pretty much all ready by the time I was 35/36 weeks both times, and you're not far off from that mark, really.  We moved when I was 27 weeks pregnant with Daniel and couldn't set the nursery up until I was 33 weeks (because we were installing hardwood floors) and that drove me crazy!

Just go for it....it's not too early and it's going to make you even more excited to meet your little princess, seeing all of the little clothes hanging in the closet/folded up in the dresser drawers and her bed all made :)

I'd say that you could wash the bed linens and clothes and things anytime now :)  If you do a load here and there it'll make it a lot easier, rather than having a mad rush at the very end :)

Have you had a shower yet?  Is one planned?

No, I actually paced myself :)  We do our big family meals with my husband's family for lunch rather than dinner (they're European and that's how they do things which is fine by me especially because we live in another city and it makes it easier with little ones who need to get to bed by a certain time at night) and so DH and I weren't very  hungry for dinner last night after everyone left, but we waited to have something until after the kids were in bed and it was actually nice, kind of like a "date night in" :)  We do that sometimes instead of going out.

You don't have much longer!!  You must be getting really excited!!  Do you feel ready?  Have you been working on her nursery? :)

Baby yawns really are so cute :)

Thanksgiving was great....We hosted my husband's family yesterday, did turkey and everything, it turned out great!  Today a friend who's moved to another province came over because she was in town for a wedding....she got to meet Gil for the first time, which was great!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Monday and DH is off from work so we're hoping to get out with the boys on a nice fall walk to see the leaves changing, but now I see that it's supposed to RAIN all day tomorrow - boo!! :(

I was in labour for 12 hours with Gil (and 8 with Daniel) - I'm counting from when the contractions became hard and regular....it was a lot longer if you count from when my water was broken and they started the Pitocin, and even longer still if you count from when they started ripening my cervix, lol!  And I don't have a retroverted uterus.....man, imagine how long my labour would have been then?? ;)

I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry....these things all have a way of working out, and once you're holding your little girl in your arms, it'll all fade away :)

I'm sorry to hear you've been so tired - you've really had more than your fair share of nausea and fatigue this time around, haven't you?? :(

The boys are good....Daniel's starting Junior Kindergarten this week!  He had his first day yesterday (it was  "trial run" with a smaller group of his class) and then goes back on Friday for his first full day.  He was a bit overwhelmed yesterday but didn't cry, so that was good.  I, on the other hand, got teary when I turned to head home after dropping him off....he didn't see me, though, I made sure of that because that would have only upset him....

I've really given up on trying to take it easy... I have contractions no matter what I do (I am actually having one right now) and a ton of cervix pressure and lower back pain... The least I can do is make sure that I keep up on the house work because I hate stuff being dirty and disorganized... Oh well... DH went to finance this morning to see what the hold up for 3 freaking weeks could possibly be and all they told him that it was released (or if it wasn't they were going to release it today) so we will get it anytime between today and Thursday... UGH I am so tired of waiting. I will feel better when everything is ordered and I go shopping again to get everything together...
Sorry about you SIL she seems like a real piece of work!

Well I am glad that you are feeling better! I would tell your SIL to take all of her baby comments and shove it! I know how you feel though, when I was about 7 months pregnant with my first boy my sister that is 15 months older than me revealed she was pregnant too. We both ended up having boys so I had someone to give all of the stuff that I had gotten to. She made me miserable the last few months though because she mimicked everything that I was really going though. Thankfully this time I haven't had to deal with her at all and we don't speak at all now because she always wants something.
I am having contractions and I am kind of worried because I am having pressure (like back labor) in my lower back with each one so I am hoping that she is turning or is turned the right way!

Yup still having contractions (they were really bad yesterday because I was cleaning and running after Richie all day) and now I am losing my MP (sorry TMI) so I definitely know that I am dilating... I never lose a huge amount of it just bits at a time but it always indicates that I am dilating =)
Still no bonus... It is supposed to be no later than tomorrow so my hubby is MAKING me take it easy for the next few days until I can get out to get everything else that we need for her!
How are things going with you?

Hey I have a bit of a headache and my hips are kinda sore from getting the shopping done that I did get done yesterday. When my husband told me to go to Walmart yesterday he actually told me to go out and get the essentials for her so I went out and spent about 220$ and got basically everything she needs if she decides to show this weekend! Hopefully she won't show this weekend because here it is Friday and still didn't get the damn bonus! The latest is supposed to be Tuesday so hopefully it won't be any later than that! Tomorrow is the last day of DH's weekend and then he will have to go back to work for 5 days and he has his paternity leave set for the 15th through the 25th (he gets an extra 4 days if it actually happens on the 15th!) but I don't know how likely it is that it will happen

Yeah I know what you mean... Well still nothing today! I am really starting to get pissed off about all of this... I didn't think I would be this mad about it taking so long but I have already been having quite painful contractions this morning and I am really irritated... I really am... I don't know what else to say about it really... I can't believe that it can take this freaking long to get it done!!!! Sorry I really am just pissed today and I have already been completely annoyed!
I am looking forward to the holidays definitely! November and December are definitely two of my favorite months... Probably because if the holidays and my birthday being Nov 10th =) Well, DH wants me to run to Walmart to pick up a few things so I need to do that! BAH!

LOL yeah! I know what you mean... I turn 25 in November so I am actually kind of looking forward to that... I talked to my mom this morning and I was thinking how old she must feel with her oldest being 37 and her youngest being 22! I hope that she is enjoying the time that she has after the kids are gone and from what she says I think she is. Kids will definitely make the time go by so much faster! Waiting on them to bake though seems like it can take forever!
Yeah I feel like I have a bowling ball sitting in my pelvis and it can get mighty uncomfortable! I am sure that I am dilated a tad bit (if not to like 3 or something) but still I am full term and I don't want to risk going to L&D and them keeping me! LOL!

I don't think you are crazy! It was definitely a long time coming and I can hardly believe that it is almost over... I promise it will be December before you know it and you will be having your little girl! It is amazing how time flies when you are pregnant BUT the time will go by so much faster after you have her! I can't believe my boys are going to be 8 and 4 in less than 6 months and Marley is almost here... I have been having some serious pressure down "there" so definitely taking it easy and it will take me freaking all day just to get my downstairs situated and cleaned! UGH! Oh well... At least Richie is basically to the point where he pre-occupies himself with TV and coloring or whatever he is doing at that moment =)

LOL! I really have no idea how I am keeping my sanity to be completely honest with you. There is really nothing I can do about the bonus because they kind of do everything at their own speed and DH works on a smaller base and they have to send all of the paper work to the bigger base so who knows what happened! Hopefully it will be before this week is up though. I only have a short list of things I need to buy at Walmart/Target/Babies R Us so hopefully I will get it all, have it set up and get on with it already! I am sitting here trying to fight the freaking urge to clean and I am going to give up and just slowly do things! My doggies are eating their raw bones and I have to mop the floor after that because of the bacteria so I am waiting on them to finish =)

About every 4-6 minutes and then when I got home. I am still just refusing to go to L&D until my water breaks though because I will know if I am in labor (at least I have convinced myself of that! LOL!) and I am not in any real pain... but I was never in real pain when I had contractions with either of the boys that dilated me to 4 cm until my water broke =) So it is just waiting at this point. At least I am sure that I will be having her before the month is up, even if I get really unlucky and I don't have her until a week or so late! I have been having serious urges to clean everything and I am trying to fight them lol!

Um we actually haven't gotten any shopping done because they still haven't deposited his re-enlistment bonus! I have no clue when it is supposed to happen since they told us it would be yesterday...DH went and checked at financing yesterday to check and they said it can be anywhere from yesterday to this coming Tuesday! UGH! Stupid military financing! We do have like an extra 800$ that we are going to be using tomorrow to go out and get necessities for her though so we will be ready even if she doesn't stay in until the 15th... I dunno if she will be early or not... I haven't been pregnant longer than 38 weeks (my water broke with Richie @ exactly 38 weeks) but I have been trying to take it easy but I did go to the commissary yesterday for grocery shopping and I was having mad contractions
