Hope your mom feels better soon! Hi Lillian...I've seen your posts and I hope you're mom gets a break from all this discomfort soon...All I can say is that even after surgery "optimal" the acites hung on for so long and at such a volume I felt like it would never stop and now I'm doing great....Please hang in there and tell her that lots of people have her in their hearts and are holding good thoughts for her.
lots of love,
christina

Do you man the surgeon is from Moffitt .. and gyn/onc surgeon? That would be a very good thing. Chemo can be given anywhere. I know many people who go to a Moffitt MD and a local onc will administer the drugs in coordination with the advice from a Moffitt MD. Good luck. You just have to do the best your can do .. try to take one step at a time .. and make lists of questions because it can be overwhelming. Judy

I'm glad she is feeling better...I'm not sure if the leg pain is common but the hospital I was at had pallitave care specialists who were really great at decreasing pain when the source of the pain couldn't be fixed quickly enough. I hope you both get a bit of rest!
All the best,
Christina

Lillian,
The debulking surgery can be hard as it is considered a major surgery. But if your mom is other wise basically healthy, then she will do just fine. I am sure she is feeling better after having the fluid drained. I just had 1 liter drained from my right lung last week and could not believe the difference it made.
Hand in there Hon.
Chris

Can you please fill out your bio .. even as dtr., and give us all some info on your Mom's condition. It's hard to comment when you don't have much of a story to refer to.
Where are you (Mom) located in Florida?
Judy
