That was funny on the milk thistle thread....you are cracking me up and I bet I am not the only one. Thanks for giving us all a bunch of laughs...it makes tx all the more doable. Hope you are well, Isobella
I have pretty much the same experience. Work every day but my productivity is SHOT. But I get some satisfaction out of being on the job no matter what.Im 18 weeks into 48. Yee-Ha.
Thats the song I was thinking about!!!
hope your well!
Happy Thanksgiving, GoofyDad!
Happy Thanksgiving! What's 401K?? what's left is a 201a!!!! You goofydad you!!!
Just a quick note to say hi hope you are well Goof....and little goof !
Hope the missing thyroid has lightened your load and you are doing well. Brent
The moon is waning lol - time to relax... I'm so glad you're through that and was relieved to see your update. I hope the recovery is quick and the beginning of some better quality life is in the not too distant future.....
Hope you feel better soon! good luck next week goofy
Hope you feel better soon goofy, I thought I seen you and lil goof drive by and I waved ! LOL
Enjoy your time with your son ...Hugs and well wishes for you always, Elaine
I'm glad to hear that; my cousin has never looked back. When it rains it pours - I'm still sorry you have to go through it. I have to thank you (again) for sharing it because I've got a 'benign' thyroid nodule found 2 years ago that I have to get checked annually - haven't done it yet this year - I forgot completely about it because of all this tx stuff I was looking into - doh... Also wondering whether you're blood counts are on the rise again?? I've been reading about B-complex & bloods but u probably know all this.... Kind regards K
You deserve a big bear hug goofy, I'm sorry to learn of your recent diagnosis.
Sending hugs your way, Elaine
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Just saw your note and I am wishing you well. You willmake it thru this!
best best wishes to you.
You deserve a big bear hug!
I just saw your note and am bummed also!! Is removing the thyroid an option?? (my cousin has had this done successfully but I believe for hyperthyroidism and while she's on regular medication is doing well - in fact much better, than before and it may be NOTHING like what you're facing so please accept my apology now).... I see you're already joined to the Thyroid disorders group (which I will also do as have 'benign' lumps that need regular checking and wonder what the tx is doing to them). I'm so very sorry you've got more medic stuff to go through and look forward to hearing that there is a reasonable and copable prognosis....
Thank you for everything goofy, thank you
Hope you are doing well as always ..lil goof also
I have always just taken plain ol curcumin and PPC seperate. PPC and not PC I have heard is what you want. I have heard that the supercurcumin may be better. It is antiinflammatory so not currently taking it with tox. But post tox I will check out thae super curcumin gel probably.
Thanks for taking the time. What is HGB??? If it's heamoglobin, mine actually rose 161 - but obviously early days for the riba to kick in. Mmm WBC 3.34 and Neuts .87 worried me a little - I doubt we have rescue drugs here, just dose reduction. But my dipsy nurse reckons everything is happening exactly as expected; I think that even though my neuts are low the WBC and platelets 140 held okay just below normal. The fact that she doesn't want me to do bloods for another 3 weeks frightened me a bit. I'm going to see my GP tomorrow morning for a 2nd opinion. Thanks for the note - I get a little freaked when I realise what bureaucratical BS I'm entering into - I try not to think too much until about day 5 after shots but I'm making the effort to see my GP in the morning. Regards...
Thanks for your comments re 4 week PCR. Nurse said no again 2day, said it's up to the Week4 Specialist. After only 1 week my alt/ast cames down a lot but so did my neutrophils WBC & platelets. I thought she'd reduce my dose but she didn't and she doesn't want bloods for 3 weeks either; doh. I'm off to see my GP Monday to get a private referral. Thanks for the mention that I will probably be UND - she seemed to think that a non-response on monotherapy in 1994 (without the ribavirin) didn't really count - but then, she contradicts herself everyweek. I am so pleased that you cleared, for yourself and your boys; my son is 16 and I adore him and am constantly surprised that I'm related to this amazing teenager who motivates me so much because I am his Mum :-). Best wishes
First I want to say sorry for calling you "googydad" when thanking you for the post on the 4 week PCR:-( :-). I am still being refused 4 wek PCR but am hoping that I can push it because of a 'dormant' lung condition. Protocal here also will not let me extend 6 months, despite my being a previous non-responder on the mono, but I hope I can push for that too if needed - otherwise I may need to see what's happening in Australia. I've added you as my friend - you r my Hero :-)
Just a quick note to say hi!
Thank you for the laugh on that poem! LMAO!
Thank you for Goofy ! Feeling your good vibes !!
Hope you and your son are well !!
(Second part) It might be just the ticket for you. There's an example of one of the computer read-outs of a typical tomographic/FibroTC image posted in the images section of my Medhelp home page, if you're interested. And you can do it by email once you've got the tomography. Glad to hear you're feeling good. Better "looks bad/feels good" than the other way round :]
(First part) Thanks for the info re the pegs. I'm pretty thin, but I don't know if I'd want to go on a reduced drug regime because of that. On the contrary, being genotype 1b I'm inclined to go on an increased regime. Although I'm sure not looking forward to those side-effects for 48 or 72 weeks. Re biopsies and the alternatives like Fibroscan, have you seen my posts about FibroTC, a brand-new diagnostic technique using tomography images and a computer program that scans them and computes a graphic showing fibrosis/cirrhosis areas of the liver?
Thanks for the info, GoofyDad. Coupla more questions, if that's okay, and then I'll leave you in peace :] -
- Do you know if it makes any difference which pegasys and riba one uses?
- I'm GT 1b. Any idea about the max doses I can take?
BTW, how's your liver doing? Has a recent biopsy shown good regeneration?
Hi, GoofyDad. I'm a fairly recent member of the hepC forum. I see from your bio that you were biopsied stage 4, and that you were able to clear the virus with antiviral therapy. Do you mind my asking what exact therapy drugs you took, and for how long? (I imagine that info is on a thread here somewhere, but it'll take me a week to find it :] )
You're in my thoughts all the time, but especially today. Just thought I'd post ya a note and let ya know I was thinkin' of ya!
Hugs to ya!
