Just a quick note to say hi!

However thanks once again frien
Thank you for the feedback. It is a difficult situation, as removing the allergens (the two 14 year old cats), is not an option. As such, we will do everything else we can.
Thank you for everything! Take care my new friend!
Hi, I think it's so cool that you're a Chemist. I'm graduating this year and I plan to go to college to become a Chemist as well. Chemistry and Science in general has always intrigued me, but I just wanted to say hi and my name is Kelsey :)
Thanks for the comment. I was starting to feel like the boy who cried wolf, the doctor made it seem like it wasnt asthma problems if my peak flows weren't dropping that much. Tireness defintely part of it, this week I've been sleeping 16-20 hours a day and still tired. And it is super hard to study for finals like that!
Thanks very much for the information on nocturnal asthma. It was comforting. I'm going to the pulmonologist this week, so we'll get the verdict on asthma then. Best of luck to you and your daughter.
Just a quick note to say hi!
Thank you for all the information and you were right. I took him into the emergency room this past weekend and they put him on a steady nebulizer treatment (Xopenex) every 4hrs for 4days and prednisone for 5days. Then after all treatments, we'll see how it worked.
Again TY and I pray that you and yours are blessed and healthy.
thanx... what type of meds are you on?... I was perscribed Advair 250/50.. Do you think that the doc will lower the strength of the Advair? He did not perscribe me for a rescue inhaler.
Thanks for the comment... I was a smoker for 7 years, but I quit about 5 months ago... I am pretty worried that I have COPD, but the doc. told me it was Asthma, how would I know if I have COPD if I had childhood asthma? Any advice... I have seen two lung docs, but they have not diagonsised me with COPD
Thanks for the note. I might be heading down the same direction. Flonase and Ava-Mys didn't help the congestion, now I'm trying Nasacort. It's possible nasal polyps so my doctor is sending me to an ENT. So much fun, I'm glad I'm not working this semester, I have too many appointments to book around one another!
I found something that works pretty well for the excessive muscous. It's Guaifensin and is in some cough medicine for chest congestion. I found one with no other indriegents and it has 200mg of Guaifensin for every tsp. It worked well on me for the last couple of days, even helped with my nasal congestion.
It seems to thin out the muscous so it is easier to cough it up. I'm going to ask my doctor if there is a brand or company that makes a longer lasting one (only lasts 4-6 hours for me) and maybe in a pill form (I hate taking liquid cherry flavoured stuff)!
I'm bad, I just ignore it :)
The better my allergies are, the less muscous I have. Nasal Rinsing helps if my allergies get out of control (which is far in between now with the allergy shots).
Thank you for the note a little bit of whiles ago! I am feeling a bit better today. I hope you're having a great day too! :)
Know what you mean had the lung infections too. Now that was exhausting! I guess Im just sick and tired of this today. It be nice to have a day with normal breathing, I'll stick with my 3 months and hope for a full recovery before I hit the 9 months, hehe. And working too? Oh boy, I hope you get better soon, Let me know how it goes with the specialist. Ciao for now.
Have a good weekend,
Greetings! I see we're the same age. Sorry to see you and your daughter also battle with asthma. I used to be in the hosp. almost as much as out before I started taking Xolair shots. I'm much better now with my asthma, but the high dose steroids led to my present condition with the autonomic dysfunction. Must go for now. I led an art project today at adult day care where I attend and we hand a little field trip this AM and I'm just worn out! It's nice to have the w/c and be able to be out and about though because for years I was stuck at home.
Your friend, Groggyfroggy (Lois Lynn)
The problem is, she only gave me prednisone until the mornig after (so two doses). I don't think that was enough. Last night I started having some spasms (my airways would spasm every 1-2 minutes and cut off my oxygene for a few seconds). I honnestly don't feel any better.
Yes, I got 3 physician samples. My mom's going to call my PCP to try and get an appointment asap. I went to the clinic today due to a severe asthma attack (had to leave work) and found out I have pneumonia .. again. I got it 3-4 months ago (when I discovered I had asthma), and 2 years ago. Took me over a month to get rid of it. I'm on prednisone now. My chest pains were due to severe inflamation. She touched my chest and I was sure I was going to cry from the pain. It was so bad. I also have mucus in my lungs. More on the bottom of my right one. She said it was very bad. She also said I need to take it easy for the next few weeks and that I should go do tests. Also, that over the next few days, if ever I have chest pains or SOB, I have to go to the ER.
Thank you for the information.
I actually have a weird cough since about 2 years ago. It sounds like a "smokers cough", even though I never smoked in my life. I'm only 16, and pretty small, so it sounds very loud and strange coming out of me. I do have symptoms in bewteen attacks. I'm actually having some right now (shortness of breath, chest pains, cough..). I took my blue inhaler about an hour ago. What is that you mentioned about the vocal cords? Could you give me a bit more information?
Thank you so much.
Just a quick note to say hi! I hope you are having a great day! :)
