Sorry I just saw your welcome note. From back when I posted in the bipolar page, and on the epilepsy page. I would love to chat. I have alot going on and always just interested in seeing what useful advice I can find on here.
Thank you. I so appreciate that. At times I wonder if anyone reads my comments. I don't get on as often as I'd like. I'm always learning new things about health and I like to share what I learn. We have such a battle in this world as our food supply is not what it used to be. There is too much processed and fast food at our fingertips. Plus our environment is not as healthy as it was years ago. I counsel on living a holistic lifestyle so my mission is to encourage people to realize the power to be healthy is in their own hands. My children are adults now but I've spent their entire lives modeling for them how to live healthy in body, mind and spirit. What a job!!! Do the best you can everyday despite any adversity that comes your way. Thanks for bringing joy to my day, Specialmom.
Yes, colitis is very tricky. I'm finding that probiotics are helping more than anything.
awww thank you that is very nice of you to say..I also liked what you have said
Just finished the last of the requested repairs on the old house; left the box of appliance booklets and spare keys in the empty house for the new owners only today. New house is a maze of boxes and has no curtains; we're living at the farm. Checking out a Catholic school. (Different picture than you might have thought, right?) Check out my pix for shot of our nice new dog, Delphie.
Thank you for your kind words. Always good to help and connect with folks. May God bless you
I'm glad you found my posts helpful! I'm grateful to be alive and to have no discernible physical deficits--expect for a slight drop on the left side of my face. I'm still in a battle with Aetna over my LTD claim. I'm not depressed, but I do have Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)--which is a common occurrence especially for right-brain stroke victims such as myself. With the recommendation of my doctors, I am applying for a service dog to help with my GAD. And I am hopeful that I can return to work as an engineer someday soon, albeit with some accommodations. My employer wants me to return to work as well. The problem is that my employer is demanding that I get a release from my neurologist, but she said, "I think you need to improve before returning to work. We should give it 2 months."
Just a quick note to say hi! I hope you're well and having a good day. Take care
Do you know someone who had a stroke? As a stroke survivor, I'm willing to share my experience and answer any questions you may have.
Just a quick note to say hi! I want to thank you for all of your great answers on the "General Health Forum" I am the moderator there and they really help me, I learn lots from them. God bless you.

Hi, there. My grandson and I managed to get through Thanksgiving better than I anticipated. Thanks for thinking of me and sending a note. Since so many have responded to my post, and you in particular, I have been feeling so much better. Thank you Specialmom and everyone else who wrote to me. Your thoughtfulness has really helped me deal with my grief so very much. Thank you!
Just a quick note to say hi! You are most welcome.
Tears and smiles are both from God so I try to be thankful all the times. Keep up the good work! Have a great weekend!
hey I was getting positives but then I got negatives so may have been a chemical. We spermchecked hubby at home and that was positive. He’s not getting his vasectomy redone so if it happens, it happens. I have sore boobs actually, nausea, fatigue. Daren’t test yet in case the same thing happens again - I’d rather not know
Thank you, I had forgotten about this site. I did a search & one like bought me here again :)
Just a quick note to say hi! Hope life is good and treating you with kindness!
Thank you for your kind words. I lost both my parents when I was 25 and a younger brother when I was 27. My first husband, father of my children died at 32, his brother, mother & father all in a one year span. It wasn't until my brother-in-law was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer at 38 that we found out the disease was in the family and was hereditary. It's been a living nightmare and the only thing that keeps me going is the little bit of family I have left. I think FAP would be a very popular community on here. I belong to several on Facebook and we learn so much from each other as people from all over the world post on there. One has 1700 people on it and there are a few smaller ones. I also belong to a Desmoid Tumor Group which is all part of FAP.
Hi there! I have lost 5 family members to an hereditary colon disease FAP. Which included both my sons and a grandson. My youngest son was the latest and it's been very difficult for me to cope with it all. I started on here after I lost my oldest son and it seemed to help me by hopefully helping others. It's been 4 years now since losing my youngest son and although I came her and looked around a bit my heart just wasn't in it. But now it feels good to be back and I hope to stick around for awhile. It was sweet of you to leave me a note and I hope you are doing well.
Need your advice! I have been on the Nuva Ring for months now and on September 4th me and my boyfriend had sex late at night and due to discomfort I took the ring out. Next morning I noticed I had left it out over night. I put it back in and did research, we had sex again and he came in me. I ended up putting a new nuva ring as directed and started a new 3 week cycle. ( I usually skip my period and do the 4 weeks) anyway on September 7th I took Plan B. I want to know opinions am I pregnant?
Sending positive Vibes! Have a great day ahead!
Thank you for the warm welcome! I look forward to being involved in this community!
Just a quick note to say hi!Hi thank you for asking! Yes the boys are doing very good. Michael is starting to learn how to use an assisted talking device. We will be having him evaluated in September and see if the district will approve it. He is using some words but the apraxia is really in his way. He is finally sleeping through the night and overall doing much better, no more tantrums! He has a full ABA program at school and after school ABA every day. Its challenging and exhausting but we do see progress! His twin Alex is doing great! He talks enough for the both of them! But thank you for asking. How are you kids?
Just a quick note to say hi!
Thank you specialmom! I'm glad you find my posts helpful. Thanks for all your helpful advice to so many women!
Just a quick note to say hi! Had to smile the other day when a customer came in and had mole problems!!!
