Thanks for your notes. My FIL did complained of chest pain and was admitted to a hospital where the angiography was done. The doctors say that "probably" he suffered a stroke and that it has resulted in blockage being cleared a bit. What is complicating and causing concern is that they are not too forthcoming on the situation. At the moment , my FIL appears to be fine and able to do his chores himself without any assistance. He's perfectly fine with walking a couple of hundres meters and his talks are also coherent. This is the reason I want him to make a short air travel (1.5 hours), for further expert consultation, observation and surgery.

Hi,
My father has a low ef (20%) from last 15 years when it was diagnosed. He do not have any symptoms (fatigue, swollen ankels etc). But last week, he was ill (had pain in chest once). However now he is perfectly fine. Doctors are shocked to see his reports. They are advising for CRT-D implementation. Please suggest and share if you have comprehend with similar case.

Just a quick note to say hi!
Wow, our Westie is only 9, estimated, he is a rescue dog the local branch of the American Westie Association picked up from the dog warden who was ready to put the dog down, he was almost starved and had a terrible case of yeast infections, so much so he is not deaf.   He is our fist Terrier, and what strong personality that is.  We continue to struggle with what we believe is food allergies.  He will about eat his paws and legs off.  We have him on a Salmon and Sweet Potato food with no snacks of about anything else.  He seems to be getting better. This MedHelp collection of blogs has a great one for dogs, I suppose you know that.

Just a quick note to say hi!  Nice looking little Westie in your avatar.. I'd enjoy seeing its picture in your gallery of pictures.  You can see a picture of our rescue Westie in my profile gallery.   I was lucky not to have any heart problems until I was in my mid 50s, I'm now in my mid 70s and still alive.

Hi! I had a by-pass about three years ago and I feel that I still need to remind myself to breathe. I do agree that it often appears to me that I have forgotten to breathe and have to think and carry out the process. What should I be doing now? My Doc feels that I am fine. My e mail add is ***@****. Thanks

Hi, Ed!
Well, ever the optomist, I thought Vit. B3 was my magic bullet. It wasn't. I'll let you know what transpires with my echo on Thursday.

Ed,
Two little things: the Puritan Pride site has a sale until the 25th - buy one, get two free. Have no reason to communicate with her, but, coincidentally, Nannynormi lives about a mile from me!  Ted

Hi, Ed!
Started on niacin tabs 4 or 5 days ago for no special reason - maybe because they were on sale at the Puritan Pride site...Well, wouldn't you know that 3 days ago started feeling a little better - you know, like not being afraid to run up the stairs to get something, for fear of getting seriously SOB. Yesterday I actually went out in the yard and mowed for 3 hours with no ill effects. Worked today too. Looked up Vit. B3 deficiency, and fatigue was one of the principal symptoms; also, the deficiency affects metabolism in every cell in the body. OK, I'm no scientist, but being SOB with a pO2 of 97% makes sense if the mitochondria can't make use of the O2. I might be whistling in the wind, but I'm hoping that my upcoming echo is negative.  Ted

Just a quick note to say hi!  I appreciated your answers to another members problem. I just had my 1st angio....Did you feel better right away after an angio where there was NO stent placed?  I'm on day 4 and don't feel any stronger and still have intermittant chest pain.

Just a quick note to say hi!

My wife  and met with Dr this past week,  he confirmed that I need a stent,  so that will occur on the 17th of April.
I didn't ask what happens if I didn't.

Its so rare I can't find much on the Web about this.

I'll keep you posted later in the  week

Thanks
John
