You questioned me about 2012 so I'll assume the below might be of interest to you...

A friend of mine about a ten minute drive from me in western NY state caught the Chile earth quake.

Best wishes on getting answers, especially related to spasms..it took three heart caths before they 'caught' my spasms. Let me know what they say about spasms as they obviously saw yours occuring. Joan.

Thank you for everything! Your message was very comforting. I did see my GP today and everything looks fine physically. He thinks I am dealing with post operative stress and possibly some depression. I think he might be right. Thanks for taking the time to post a note to me.

Sorry to confuse. MVD is a diagnosis of exclusion; things are excluded by the best technologies available. No technology, cardiac cath or nuclear scans can look at these vessels so tiny they can only be seen by a high power microscope. In post mortem exam researchers can take heart slices to see them and where the heart muscle has had damage.Spasms can be viewed when they back up to a major larger artery causing that artery to spasm. Those spasming large arteries can be viewed during a cath which resulted in my arrest. There is no way for a nuclear scan to determine profusion in the center of the myocardium and evaluate those microvessels. MVD is all about evaluating patient complaints, treating symptoms and trusting that medicine's reliance on 'positive' findings proves false.

Ed; have your doctor consider cardiac microvascular dysfunction.Even with stented LAD the microvessels connecting to the major LAD can spasm or shut down and definitely cause SOB on incline. Do you have nitro to relieve your SOB signs? You are also in the UK and London has a clinic just for MVD patients. This is difficult to diagnose by current tests but the symptoms are the lead subjective/objective diagnosing criteria. Joan.

I have to learn to answer some member's comments instead of this way! Please read my journal here at 'joanincarolina'. I like reading your posts and your knowledge base is great. The last lady with the diabetes and clear cath but other positive findings could be this: heart caths look at the larger coronary arteries but can't look at the heart microvessels.Heart Microvascular Dysfunction is difficult to diagnose and MANY doctors do NOT know about this. London (UK) has a clinic just for mainly affected women with this dysfunction which has many degrees of symptoms. Post mortems on sudden death women with one complaint of fatigue, no other body findings and no heart disease of coronaries has been documented. Perhaps you'll refer some members to my journal after reading. Thanks. Joan.

I am assuming that you saw an EP in the UK and the procedure you mentioned may have been an ablation needed for an arrthyhmia? Regardless, your question  regarding living with angina is one that I can answer well.  NO. I would NEVER suggest trying to do live with angina WHEN there is a chance to repair/ablate/resolve problem area. I live with angina daily; I can barely get thru a day with minimal exertion, even sustained speech and I wear 24/7 nitro patches AND supplement with nitro tabs or spray. You do not want constant or intermittent angina.

thank you for the reply. a nuclear scan (perfusion scan) was done last month. my appointment with the doctor is mid-august when i hope to find the reason for the pain. no doubt after a heart attack some muscle damage does take place. i shall post the result after my appointment.
