"On 10/23/10 my calcium level was 9.8 (range 8.6-10.4) I would say that is a good reading.
I take 1500 units of calcum supple and at least 500 Vit D on a daily basis.
I think I will drag my feet a little longer on the Boniva"

"My bone density results are OK. I suppose the fact that I had a TT is the reason for the Boniva perscription. Or maybe it is just because of my age."

after my surgery I did a lot of research and I found out that your family whether it is a child or a parent shoul be checked because it is genetic..My daughter has gained a lot of wieght and feels really bad alot of the time and when she went to the doctor after my surgery,they took blood and told her it was all good. I told her that my blood work was always good.

Just a quick note to say hi! I was told I had thyroid cancer in Jan.2009 and had a thyroidectomy March 25,2009 I think I am not sure of a lot I was told about the cancer the day after my mothers funeral .Any way I started on 150 synthroid now I am on 200 mcg.I had no indcation anything was wrong with my thyroid nothing ever showed in blood work, but I had a cold and when they done a ct of my chest they noticed a nodule told me that 95 to 97 percent were benigne Not mine I was fortunate that it was caught before it spread .
