If the heart muscle is damaged from a prior heart attack the heart cells may have (necrosis) damage that impairs heart wall movement, that cause may prevent improvement, but stem cell therapy may be in the future. Or the low EF is due to hypokinesis (heart cells are still alive but are in hibernation) due to a lack of sufficient blood flow. Improve blood flow to the deficit area can revitalize the heart cells....that was my condition and today my EF is 55%. Don't give up.
