Mitch Tell me to mind my own business, but I have just read a little of what you are doing re Taper. I was doing similar - it is Masochistic!!!! If you get 5/6 days away from work, friends or whoever/whatever ..... Just JUMP and have done with it. Yes, it's all they say, But after 5 days NO MORE PILL COUNTING - (Just total fatigue on Day 5 - like now 4 me!!) BUT, everyone is different. All the Best whatever, Tram (have a read at some of my stuff - may help) I shall be putting my whole c/t story on the postings soon, so you can decide from that. And remember I have been a heavy user for 3 years!!

Hi Mitch It's me again. Remember I asked you about L Tryptophan. Actually I have just completed Day 5 of c/t. (don't ask me how I feel!) I tried the Tryptophan for 5 consecutive mornings before going c/t because I wanted to know the reaction to expect. I took 2000mg with Vit B6. ...... There was NONE!! I expected, as the literature tells us, a surge in energy to carry through the day. I did take some as I have gone through this 5 days - but for me it was a complete waste of money. BUT, everyone is different.

Hello Mitch Hope you don't mind, but after viewing your post I would like to ask a couple of questions. I have been on Tram for 3 years and rely on them to give me energy to get me through the day etc. I am considering going c/t and amongst other things am concerned that if I am successful I will be left with total fatigue to fight the day. I deduce from your post that tyrosine has helped you. 1. Can you confirm that and perhaps give me a few more details? 2. Why do you use tryptophan - and why take it at night? Hope you can put my mind at rest on this aspect. Also then I know what to purchase before I go c/t. If you are able to give me information many many thanks. Tram.

Mitch, I have been reading your posts. Congratulations on your progress and I saw the difficulty you had going from 4 to 3. I understand. I'm not a medical professional, but in the six years I was on this drug, I gained many insights (mostly unpleasant) as my dose went up and down. TOLERANCE to this drug builds up so it requires more and more just to make you feel UNWELL. Any time we feed the beast less than it demands, we feel it. If you are like me, you experienced withdrawal symptoms every rx cycle. While I totally support a sound tapering program, there is no soft, easy way to get off this drug. It's not until you begin to put days between you and your last white pill that the brain receptors will begin to heal. Good luck Mitch. You can do this. Fred
