Hi! I've been perscribed the Vicodin in the past and last winter I was taking it for around 4-5 months. I get light relief from it. And yes, it is upsetting when someone needs to get relief from pain and the doctors are afraid that someone is becoming an addict from it...........although, I'm alcoholic, I suffer no pain medication addictions. But the moment you bring any addiction up to a doctor, then they feel you would have an inclination toward addiction of pain pills. In this situation, the squeeky wheel gets the grease.
