About Me: Female, 42, Cedarhurst, NY, member since Jun 2010
I am 32 and now have a beautiful healthy Daughter who is 18 months at this time. I have had a tough road getting to this point. Maddie is my sixth pregnancy (4 miscariages and one ruptured ectopic in less than 2 years). I was diagnosed with 2 Mthfr genetic defects.
[More] I now have arythmeias. I am adopted and I have my Bio-mothers history but I have yet to discover who my Bio-Father is.
Hello! Yes I do have 1 copy of the MTHFR gene and took lovenox injusctions during and after my preganacy. I also had fetal monitoring from 6 months. I found out that I had the gene before I ever tried to get pregnant. As weird as it sounds, I was lucky enough to have 2 TIAs (mini strokes) in my mid 20s and found out that I had the gene, which allowed me to get on the Lovenox injections for my 1st pregnancy. Because I only have one copy of the gene, I am normal for clotting as long as I am not pregnant or on hormones. If you have any questions, I would be happy to share what I know. :)
