About Me: Female, 41, Grand Rapids, MI, member since Aug 2010
I am a married mother of four, and have suffered with depression for about four years now. My pdoc recently changed my diagnosis to Bipolar II. I have been through many med changes, and am hopeful that the new regimen will work for my new diagnosis. I use therapy and
[More] cognitive behavioral therapy also, to help manage my mental health.
A big event that happened recently was the loss of my mother. I have just recently come to terms with this (although understand that grief is an ongoing process). Let's just say that I've let go of a lot of the negative guilt associated with my perceived role in her death.
I am a little vague on here, for privacy, but have no problem AT ALL with sharing pretty much detail-wise of the specifics of my med history, depression history (I got BAD there for a while), or any of my grief issues. I would also love to help in any way with some of the wonderful coping techniques that I have learned, to help sort out and deal with depressive thoughts. Do not hesitate to contact me, and I will be happy to help. I plan on checking in here at least once a day.
