Just a quick note to say hi! Your note from the other day said a year or two to see neurosurgeon??!! I hope that was a typo---a year is just ridiculous! Yeah, no surgery for me. I'm sure if I shopped around I could find someone to do surgery. But, I trust this guy--I would be more unsure of someone who right away said yes to surgery. He said no surgery because there are two many discs affected. I actually feel a little better past couple of weeks except for headaches, so I'll just have the radiofrequency again. I think I just have to resolve myself to the fact that I will never be totally pain free, and will be in and out of therapy whenever the pain gets bad. It's when your mind is one age, and your body feels so much older!!
Yeah, I have the same problem. My DO said the EMG was with in the normal curve. I have a couple of bulging discs from an auto accident and have the numbness in the bottom of my feet and fingers. he said it should just go away on its own in time. Hope you find better answers!
Well, I hope your neurosurg consult goes better than mine. He says no surgery that really has any success. Because alot of it is arthritis/degeneration, it attacks too many levels. Just have to live with it and continue the physical therapy and meds and injections. In a way, I'm glad he told me this. At least I know I found a surgeon who wasnt knife happy. I would have more torn about what to do if he had said he would operate because I hear so many bad stories. But, thats why so many people still have pain. When its degenerative and throughout the neck, it'll just progress regardless of surgery. It is upsetting, though. I've been battling this for so many years, and some days are so difficult. I hope it goes better for you
