[More]all child. I have been blessed with 2 great parents that brought me up in church. My mother played the paino and my daddy played the mandolin and they both sang in church and on ther radio after church while my sister and I waited and listen to hear them on the radio while staying at our grandmothers house. I was named after The flower "Rose Of Sharon"! Most children now don't have parents that take them to church. Our church has a bus that goes around on sunday mornings and afternoons before church started, so the children will have a way to church or anyone that's older and does not want to drive. I have worked since I was 12 years old. My first job was selling Avon for my mother. I walked around the neighborhood seller lots of Avon while my mother and daddy worked in the mill until my mother got a better job in a lab and we bought some property out in the country. My daddy started his own business and it really helped us finacially. I wanted a small job, so my daddy got me a job at Mcdonalds "Golden Arches"! I told them I was 16 and I was only 15, but back then it was no big deal. I have worked all my life until the last few years. I was only 16 when I worked in a mill in the summer months, and I wrote up the dye formulas to dye the cloth. The man that was suppose to check over my formulas to make sure they was right..didn't! A 700 pounds of cloth that was suppose to be "Sky Blue". turned out to be Hen-Sh-t Brenal! I thought, OH No, I was going to get Fired!
I didn't care, bring it on....I need the Rest! For years I have worked my butt off, My last job, I worked as a mail carrier for 14 years until I hurt my back and now that I am not working, This past year I found a black spot on my left arm between my elbow and my hand and my husband was going to the skin doctor and having basil cancer taken off his face, so I made an appointment and he took off the black spot and it was Melanoma..I had Skin Cancer! I had to go back in so he could cut out more to be sure to get all the cancer. The stiches had to stay in for 3 weeks and God it hurt! The Doctor had put in "Blue" Stiches and I never thought anything about the color of the stiches being the cause of if not healing, but after 2 weeks and a few days, I had bloody water coming out from the surgery. I called the doctor and he took the stiches out early, and I found another brown spot on the outside of my left leg and he took it off and guess what?...Yeap, another surgery for Melanoma! That was in March of this year and I went to the doctor for a check-up and he saw another small mole on my back and he cut it off and now I am waiting to find out if it's also cancer. I was injuired on the job and hurt my back and am now retired, because I am not able to pick up and work as hard as I use to. I have 2 ruptured disc at L-5 and S-1. and buldged T-11 and T-12. I had surgery, but it never help me.I want to travel out west and see the Grand Canyon this coming year.
I will add more on...about me later! Sharon
