"I just got some bad news with my week 8 HCV RNA result. Was instructed to stop treatment due to my poor response. I also learned I am not eligible for the open label retreatment as I got at least one of the study drugs. I was in the Gile..."
Well I've got to tell you that six weeks into treatment and I am still doing really well. You sound like me thinking it is all going to come crashing down but so far, not too bad. I am on vacation and I am spending hours each day walking, sight-seeing and I'm better than I ever expected. (getting away from everything and traveling alone doesn't hurt). Even some of the agitation is getting less although I am still taking some Xanax in the morning when I am really edgy. So maybe we are lucky and will have minimal sx. Good luck with your first labs. I am feeling much better about my 4 week results although it did not come out the way I had hoped. Going from 2.3mil down to <25 in four weeks is still really good.
By the way, you will see that I had disappointing news today. My 4 week labs showed my viral load to be less than 25 but still detected. It was 43 two weeks before and I was really hoping for undected. It's a little hard to take today after such a great start
Thanks for the note. I did my 6th shot last night and I've been running around Seattle in cold rain so I'm doing pretty well. This stuff makes me feel crazy half the time - very agitated and irritable and that seems to be the worst stom that I have. Also cannot do stairs very well. How about you? I felt pretty good my first few weeks.
