One other thing, when I had gone in for testing for the dizziness a few years ago, the doctors said that they look for your pupils to dilate or enlarge (I can't remember which now) when the dizziness happens. I don't remember why they said that happens, but it confirms to them that the dizzy feeling is happening. Of course, when I tried eating something that day in front of them to trigger the dizziness, it didn't happen of course. So if you can have someone watching your eyes when you take a bite, see if they can see your pupils change size if you get the dizzy feeling.
Hi lab0822, yikes, sorry for the delayed response! I had started a reply, then it had timed out and I lost it all before I could hit send, and never got back to finishing it. :(( Yes, I still do get these symptoms every once in awhile, and still haven't figured out if there is any particular trigger for it. I've only experienced it since my stapedectomy too, so it's got to have something to do with that, I think. I do have ringing in my ears too. I should have the surgery in my other ear too, as my hearing loss is really bad in that one too, but haven't talked myself into it again yet. ;) You're not crazy, so you can tell your husband that, :)) the dizzy feeling IS real! & kinda scary since even the doctors can't explain why it happens!
