I was diagnosed with Chiari type I malformation in 1992. Had surgery and got out of the hospital on my birthday in 1993. The painful symptoms went away though I still had other ones that I didn't realize were connected to the disease because when I was diagnosed they
[More] didn't have the info then that they do now. Like the fact that you can have a reoccurance of the "headaches" 18 years after surgery and no painful symptoms.
"....when you go back to the doctor over and over again for these "headaches" and they tell you to cut back on your caffiene. And when that doesn't work and they have run out of ideas they tell you "It's all in your head!" So you go to ..."
