40 year old, late-blooming father of two fantastic children. Found this site in looking for heart rhythm info, and have been blown away by the knowledge, help and support I found here.

I had my first PVC episode back in '99, scared me to death. Probably had a total of 100 PVC's. I chuckle now at how afraid I was then of one PVC every couple minutes. If only the future me could have talked to me back then....That was just the beginning. They came and went over the next several years, sometimes occurring every 30 seconds or so, going on for weeks, other times disappearing for months. In 2006 I was concerned about the health of my business and my ability to support my family; that stress (I believe) caused my PVC's to climb to 15,000-20,000 per day.
Have since gotten them more or less under control, but get these occasional consecutive runs of PVC, and sometimes (what I'd consider) SVT. They last no more than 5 seconds, but steal scare me. So I'm here to learn what I can, and get back to the doctor to have more tests done to discover if I'm still in "benign" status or if I need to start taking meds or considering a cath procedure.

"Hi Vicki -
I think what you have there is the perfect storm for arrhythmia (the benign variety, anyway).
Caffeine before bed never helps (and it actually stays in your system and can affect you for 12+ hours).

I hate to say it, but I think I'm starting to get judgmental about the people posting in the heart rhythm forum, and I'm getting snooty about who I'll take the...
Now that my family doctor has seen my rhythm strips he wants me to see a cardiologist. I suppose that's a good thing, to have a specialist take a look to make sure ev...

Hi Jeff! I found you on here too :) I am also on your Skipping Hearts, Danirae :)
I have a question, I see at one time your PVCs jumped to thousands a day and you still were not on Meds? What did you do to help control them? I am the "you" with less then 100 per day right now. And they scare the crap out of me.... I think what scares me more is I am waiting for them to turn into something so much worse. :(
Just a quick note to say hi! I am also a skipper, have been for many years, and today I'm having a really bad day. After eating seems to be a problem with me lately but dr is referring me to a cardiologist soon. They told me also that they are pvcs ....they go like this......normal beating, then pause, then one hard beat. But not only am I getting them, I started getting really fast beats the odd time that last only about 5 seconds but they scare the heck out of me. Anyway....just wanted to say and I know what you mean about thousands of them ....I have gotten that many too.
