I have done a lot of emotional work with myself since the MS stomped into my life and really believe some of these strategies help enormously when things are very down.
I have also learned to say "no" and am still learning to set firm but kind boundaries with other people who don't understand that when I say I'm tired - I am about to pass out. My main symptom issues are overwhelming lassitude, heat sensitivity, balance and my ever-burning feet and legs - sometimes more and sometimes less!
I am still working full time and my employer knows I have MS. So far so good.
I have found EFT and Reiki to be of great comfort to me in walking this uncertain road, as well as staying as active as I can, when I can.
My favourite quote right now is from (the then) Colonel Jack O'Neill from Stargate SG1 ...
"Stop. Stop. Just go to your happy place" :) [Less]
