Thank you so much for taking the time and writing!
I too think it's "normal" for my son... his vacuum "obsession" "fascination" whatever we want to call it has been going on for 2+ years...... truly! He LOVES the hoses and all the attachments etc. But I agree.. I will continue to introduce him to other things... and your right... he does have other interests or things that intrigue him... ie contruction equipment. He can tell you EVERY name of equipment - from bulldozers to front end loaders etc... lucky us.. they are doing construction on our road... and Lord help us if a Street Sweeper should cross our paths.... that is VERY exciting to him... the brushes and big hose.....
