Former RN used to be very active before adhesive arachnoiditis. Still love the outdoors. My life has been totally changed by the constant pain and disability from this disease. Now my life is filled with other things like family, pets and quilting (which is very rela

My husband has been recently diagnosed with end-stage emphasema, so now we are like a matching set.
I was diagnosed in 2006 with Arachoiditis. Tried every known treatment, i.e. PT, Acupuncture; Tens Unit, Meds of the strongest types, nothing helped. Then one day I was better. I, too, was a very active person and my life has been completely changed. Have had a relaps since March 09 with the worst pain in the back, hips and legs. Sometimes unable to work or stand and meds do nothing. Surgery is not recommended. I have been seeing a neurologist, but wonder if there is another specialist out there with better answers.
