When I was 16 years old I was diagnosed with endometriosis and ovarian cysts. Staying in school was very hard to do by my sophomore year because the pain intensified. I ended up going home early and some days not being able to make it to classes. It was getting hard to walk, that it was nearly impossible, that I ended up spending a few days in bed.
At the age of 18, I had my first laparoscopy. The surgeons told my mother that I have stage 3 endometriosis and that they got as much out as they could but not ALL; so they decided to send me to Boston where I had my second surgery a couple years later. The operation took 5 hours with trying to get out as much endo as he could, but yet, he said it was wrapped and tangled up on my organs. (bladder; intestines; ovary; fallopian tube; uterus;) it was not possible. They went no farther.
A year later I had my third surgery to see how I improved from my last surgery. I ended up growing more endometriosis!
I am now 22 years old and I am still suffering with chronic-severe pain; pain in my uterus; pain in my legs; and pain down my back. It's hard enough to get up in the mornings and knowing that it's another day to be in pain, never mind trying to stay at work (but sometimes I have no choice) I am on progesterone and I suffer with not only pain, but now with hot flashes; weight gain; hair loss; nausea; severe bloat and depression. (basically I'm in menopause) I joined this site because I am desperate to get more opinions by strong women who suffer with the same thing. I am ready do whatever it's going to take. [Less]

Changed my diet 2 weeks ago from being able to eat wheat/gluten/sugar, to now eating raw nuts/fruit/vegis/dried fruit...etc. Don't have much pain anymore and stomach...
Went on higher antidepressant a month ago - mood changed from being sad/depressed to happy.
