family doctor about it, I have been on one drug after another. First it was the anti inflamatories and I had a serious allergic reaction to them( face swelling) so here came the hydrocodones. I had surgery for the tennis elbow that didn't relieve my pain. My original complaint was the inside of my elbow ( golfer's elbow) and I didn't even know about the outside, the tennis elbow. So needless to say, after the surgery, I got Norco for about 8 months, then was switched to the tramadol because I needed to have at least a semi clear head to teach! I also still had hydro 5 mgs to relieve the pain at night. One thing you may have noticed, the ultram doesn't take away all the pain, it just makes it livable. It tricks your brain to think of pain in a different way is what I was told. So like anything our marvelous bodies are being tricked by, it soon becomes used to it and we need more drug to get back to not feeling the pain. I like you, needed more than I was allowed, but this time when I ran out, I decided I'm done. I'm gonna get rid of this dependence on this drug. I hated feeling like a drug addict and admittedly being one! Who was I kidding? So last Monday was my last day to have any of it. I have never done anything so hard in my life. I thought this would be not too bad because it really wasn't a narcotic drug. Boy was I wrong!! Now I'm on day 6 of no tramadol and am starting to feel human. I'm going all the way baby! =)
