I am the mother of a former 23 week premie, whose twin brother passed at 8 months old. My son Robert is a typical 5 year old boy, and he loves to play with Thomas the Train. I am expecting my second baby with my husband (who is not the father of my son Robert) and I am

"Help!!! I need help with potty training my 5 year old. It has been really tough, he knows that he has to go but he refuses to tell anyone. My son was brn 4 months early and when he turned 3 years old a G-tube was put in. My husband and I..."
Thanks so much for the well wishes!
I'm planning on doing what I did last time, with DS: request the maternal screening (for Down's), of which the first step is an ultrasound at 11-12 weeks....and then not go for the rest of the testing (bloodwork) because DH and I don't want to go through that, especially since we don't have any intention of terminating the pregnancy for any reason. But that way, I get an earlier u/s than I would otherwise - actually, my GP recommended I do that the last time, so that we could see DS even sooner :-) Here, if everything is fine, you won't have an u/s until you're 19-20 weeks when they can determine gender, if you want to know.
Hope things keep going well for you, too! :-)
Hey there! I don't know if you saw, but I got my BFP the other day, on Wednesday (I was 2 days late for AF and even though I hadn't been having any symptoms during the 2WW, I started feeling nauseous and headachy right around the time AF was due...and then she didn't show).
I'm really early on - 4.5 weeks. Makes my due date January 24 or so I think. My dr. is having me do a blood test to confirm the BFP I got on the HPT, I'll have the results Monday or Tuesday. I've still been feeling on and off gross, though, which I'm taking as an extremely good sign!
Hope all is well with you and your little bean :-)
