I am so glad yours was not cancer and you can get back to your life. MD Anderson says I don't need RAI because it was a papillary microcarcinoma. They will wait and watch for now.

Just a quick note to say hi!
I had a total thyroidectomy on 29th April and thought it would be nice to keep in touch to see how we are getting on following the operation. It would be nice to have someone to email that understands what it is like. I have also left a note with 'aileron1' as she too had the same op the day before.
Hope you don't mind us keeping in touch.

Best of luck on your surgery!!
Remember that there is still 20 % chance that the nodule would be benign.
P.S. during my presentation for one of my classes the computer froze , but I was able to deliver my presentation without the Power point [everyone had the outline anyways]

In present time I am trying to pursue the MA degree in Professional studies [if I make it, I should be able to teach industrial technology for adult students, or to be a technical training/industrial technology consultant].
Two years ago I graduated from CSULB with BS in Engineering/manufacturing technology.
