Helloooo Darling; are you out there? Went to Emory and after 3 years of normal EKGS with chest pain they have confirmed that a person with an event of vasospasm can have a normal ekg. What that means is that when a woman presents to the doctor or ER and has an EKG and is in chest pain, that it means nothing! Finally! An ekg can show CAD with larger vessels but shows nothing for MVD and chest pain. How are you doing?
I looked back at your post where you said that the spasm came with a hot feeling. Do you have hot flashes? Mine definitely cause me to have the heart beats increasing and therefore cardiac demand and chest tightness.
How are you doing? I've had a difficult time the past 8 weeks with the typical problems. I just can't move much and the humidity may not have helped. All I know is that the less I do, the less problems I have. Are you on any HRT if you have menopause flashes? I am returning to Emory researchers in November and I'm not expecting much. I've read the latest Heart journal regarding this MVD and it clearly states that researchers have not met any consensus agreement as to cause, therefore no good treatment. Hope to hear from you. Joan.
