ADD - Fad Diagnosis?

My daughter has worked with supposedly ADD-afflicted children for several years. In all that time she has found only one that fit the diagnosis. However, she had the advantage of counseling the children in their own homes where she got to know the parents, the siblings and the family environment. She feels that bio-feedback is the best help for lack of ability to focus, and does not support the use of drugs.

I have heard good things about bio-feeback and even had one of my students use it with pretty good results (but I think she was more ADD).  I am not sure if it would work well with say 5 or 6 year olds, probably more successful with middle school and above. But, it certainly wouldn't hurt to try!

You are probably right, but five or six-year-olds normally have a fairly short attention span.
