School/homework anxiety sleep issues

My son has always been on the emotional side and is very sensitive.  He has recently been having sleep issues,  He tells me he can't fall asleep and then he can't wake up for school.  He is missing at least one day a week of school and he is showing alot of homework anxiety as well.  He just started middle school.  I have a 15 year old with emotional/psychiatric issues also.  How can I treat his anxiety and get him to school?

Get him up earlier in the morning most children dont like being rushed around, is he upset about anything are there any issues at home or school you can think of would cause any anxiety, does he get on well with the 15year old who I  assume he goes to school okay, is there a Dad around you can get involved with them both outside sports and activities, and having fun .
