Anyone using the l-theanine?

Is anyone using l-theanine, an amino acid from green tea? If so it is crucial that the correct form is used. Several supplements contain the d as well as the l form and are not as effective. The patented form from Japan, called Suntheanine, is the one which has been used in all of the controlled studies and is used in Japan as a recognized treatment for ADHD. It is now available in capsule form in the US.  The latest studies postulate that theanine modulates the levels of neurotransmitters, ie - if one's dopamine levels are too high, theanine lowers it. If one's serotonin levels are too low - it raises it. It also promotes alpha brain waves - the waves we have when we are calm, yet alert. Improvements are seen in concentration, learning, behavior, mood, irritability, etc. within 30 minutes of ingesting it.  The following stores sell the Jananese Suntheanine under their label - Vitamin Shop, GNC, and several others on the web. The amount to get a theraputic effect for ADHD is 100 to 200 mg. taken two or three times a day - Also, anyone using Omega 3 fatty acids - EPA, DHA, and the good Omega 6 - GLA? Oftentimes, ADHD is caused by a defiency in the omega's.

I have been using L-theanine in combination for 1 year now and i can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to:
enhance his cognitive ability
feeling at home in a group of people
showing leadership skills
and keeping a calm and collective mind when the pressure is high.

i have been using l theanine for the past six months for the treatment of bi polar adhd and anxiety. i tried everything in the past twenty years to treat these illnesses . nothing  ever worked it seemed hopeless and i had given up till i read about l theanine. i tried l theanine starting with low doses and increasing it to about six hundred mgs three times a day. this was the dosage that worked for me. my sleep anxiety and mental alertness as well as a feeling of well being have never been so high. i never thought i could feel this way . their are no side effects that i can see . the dosage amout is good for me but everyone will have to figure out what works best for them. don t listen to the medical experts as i did for twenty yearss. they don t give you any answers . the pharmaceutical  industry only cares ab out profits and not your health. l theanine for me is the only product that i will ever use for adhd and anxiety. good luck
