Emotional affects of Adderall

My husband and I have been separated for 8 months.  Still seeing only each other during this time.  Honestly the last few weeks before he started taking Aderrall were some of the best and I have been really excited about where we were heading.  He was completely head over heels with me also.  He started Aderrall a couple of weeks ago and now he says he can see things clearly.  He says he still loves me and is in love with me but his head tells him to run....He does not act like himself at all.  Is there any possibility this medication is altering him in some way because I cant wrap my head around this 180 degree change and I am terrified.  I love this man so very much and to lose him is not an option.

   Being over dosed can cause problems.  And, there can be interactions with other meds.  Is he on any other meds for something like depression or anxiety?
   I feel for you.  There is practically nothing worse then the unknown and that is basically what you are dealing with.  One thing to keep in mind -depending on the dose - the medication is out of your system in about 4 hours for IR and about 8 hours for the extended release.  Thus, at night (if he takes his meds in the morning) he should be back to his old self.
