HelP needed

At one point i thought a friend of mine may have add. but the more i investigate it sounds like aspergers syndrome. my friend is very out of it. seems to be in a dazed state alot of the time. no drugs are involved here. but this person doesnt understand humour that most people do. has a hard time communicating and understanding other peoples feelings. diffuculty showing the right emotions in a relationship. just seems to have a very slow train of thought and a very dull way of talking and even has
a dull appearance with how they handle themselves. is this aspergers syndrome? it sounds very much like it to me

Finally got down to this post.  Yes, from what you described here (compared to your other post) it does have a lot of the symptoms of Aspergers.  There is a very good link here that might help.  http://www.webmd.com/brain/brain-disorders-injuries-9/autism
I think the term dull might well describe a person with Aspergers better, until you get to know them anyway.
And it does make a difference in how you relate to them.  Unfortunately, unless you can get them to go to a good psychiatrist, it means that you are stuck diagnosing them.
All though they might admit that as a student, they were treated.   I would think that the same things that stand out to you, would have done so to teachers.
Whatever, you have said they are a friend.  They became a friend without you knowing much about them.  It may be they have kind of given up on getting help or never got the help they needed.  Either way keep being a friend!
