Medication Options w/o the down

I've been taking various types of Adderol for my ADD, but I always feel...down...once the medication wears off. Not depressed, but tired, groggy and unmotivated.

Are there any medications out there for Adult ADD that don't give you a "down"??

Thanks

Are you aware that Adderal is nothing more than speed? So you get a high and a crash. Anyone on the street can tell you that. The difference between the guy on the street and you is that you don't get arrested.

I wouldn't ever take Adderal again. (myself)
They have a non stimulant formula that is FDA approved called Stratera.
I had to be on Adderal growing up for my ADHD and into early adulthood. It is very addictive and has all kinds of bad side effects.
You should try the Stratera if you are having a bad experience with Adderal. I really hope this helps you.
:) Good luck.

They have a longer lasting formula... Usually for kids. Talk to your doctor about overlapping the meds so that you don't feel that down period. Keep a diary of when you take your meds, with what and when your symptoms begin. This will help determine your medication needs and dosages as well.
Sometimes, it can take up to 30+mins before your body absorbs the meds, depending on if you take them on an empty stomach and especially with orange or grapefruit juice. I've read that these types of fruit juices can impede the way your body absorbs the meds.  Check out Dr. Amen's website. He's got quite a few resources that may be of help to you.
