My mom's behavior

My mom is 60 years old. She used to be very quiet all her life. suddenly she started talking a lot for the last couple of years. It reached a point where every word she speaks leads to a preaching, or boasting about herself. All our relatives and friends are drifting away from her because of this new behavior. I am wondering if this can be classified as ADHD. Can anybody develop ADHD in their old age?

No, you can't develope ADHD in old age.  However, there are medications  that people take for things like anxiety, depression, sleep, etc that can cause the symptoms that you speak of.
