Tis & possible OCD or ADD

Hi,
My son is 10.5 years old and had tics. He is able to hide them from his friends but he makes little noises and does repetitive facial & body movements, etc. He is having trouble with school and still doesn't look both ways when crossing a street, interrupts conversations and, things of this nature. He is a hypochondriac-yes a ten-year-old hypochondriac. I don't know where I should start. We eat all organic and his diet is really healthy, etc. and he has gone to karate and is now in acting class so he has outlets. I don't want to put him on meds because I know firsthand what they can do. As a child I had epilepsy and had to take Dilantin; fortunately, I outgrew it but I know how it puts you in a fog. Any thoughts are welcome.

The tics I would get investigated at your Doctor , the other behaviors you speak about sound normal' all children interrupt conversation, it is good when they are there to include them in it, children dont look each way crossing the road ,mine would drive me mad not doing it, If you are organic (and I try to be also) perhaps you are somewhat hypochondriac? so perhaps he has learned some behaviors from you and his Family? Find out about the tics , if he gets upset that could be one reason, Focus on his positive side ,He is going to acting class that is excellant, and all children need to have a physical out let for their energy and he is doing Karate, as I say dont concern about the small stuff, in fact dont discuss it, dont feed into anything .
