To be sure, psychologicals could determine if he has it. There are many ADD medicines (even non-stimulant kinds) that you can try. You can go to an alternative doctor and try that route. You could try a low or non-sugar diet and see about that. Alternative doctors, some anyway, think under ADD is an adrenal problem that can be treated.
Its almost impossible to do something at home that will carry over to school and will make him pay attention in class. There are lots of little techniques that his teachers can use. There are also a lot of things you can do at home to help him with his studies at home.
All of this and a lot of good information about ADD/ADHD can be found in the book, "The ADD/ ADHD Answer book," by Susan Ashley.
Hi, i have ADHD and i've changed a lot since in school. At first i couldn't concentrate and got bored VERY easily, you should go down to your doctors for some help. I got but on Ritalin < - -a tablet designed to help. these did not help me at all and made me very drowsey and baisically like a zombie i hated them. The did not solve the problem but in many cases does. I didn't enjoy school and was put on a more fun corse while learning. You should speak to your sons teachers and try to solve this, they should help your son as it is part of the childs discrimination act where they are abliged to help him, best of luck.
