NO I used it in the exact other way it helped me stay clean .Using and guilt would just hurt them all over .so I used the negatives and made them positives .your family wants you clean . Not trying to be mean at all so plz dont take it that way .Do you think sometimes you the guilt as a cop out to use ? I remeber doing that. I got into a fight sooo I will go take more pills I used fights as  a cop out alot

Yes, my previous relapse was mainly the result of self-imposed guilt.  Notice that I say self-imposed.  I was so down on myself and beat myself up mentally each day.  Needless to say, I was overwhelmed by the ensuing depression because I only focused on the negative (in addition to lack of strong aftercare).

This time, I focus on the positive, and I think both you and Kim would benefit greatly from it.  You guys have done a freakin- FANTASTIC thing!!  I admire your strength, and I hope you guys focus on that.  You are strong, beautiful people who are INSISTING on having a happy life.  And that is exactly what you get when you fight for it (plus, you are worth it :)

Thank you newstart focusing on the positives is what i have  sarted to do . On my clean time thats a great positive way to start Looking on the down side or thinking about guilt all the time are witch cozed us to lose our clean time first time around pus we dont think we could go through all the physical side again the pain of wd/s we dont want to do all that again. Thats why we protect our clean time so much and if we relapsed now  i dont think there would be anyway back for us and you are also right we think we are worth it and it still takes a lot of strength and willower to stay clean and we will focus on that thanks newstart730 James & Kim

You guys are SO worth it, and you are doing it.  Fighting the fight is the most important thing, and you know what you want.  I see so many posts from people who aren't sure if they really want to give up their DOC.  I felt the same way the last time around, and I didn't completely let go of it and tell myself that I am JUST DONE.  You KNOW that you don't want to go through it all again, so you are doing great.  Keep posting and stay strong- we are all here for you

guilt has never been a factor for me as far as relaspe or craving/wanting to use....it was more stress aggravated/depression and life events...that is why u always have to have a plan..cos we never know when life is gonna throw a major league curve ball and hit us right in the throat
